This little table saw works pretty well for small-scale crafting. It runs on a single motor that powers both the blade and an external shaft, which you can use with a drill chuck or flexible extension. Just keep in mind that the blade doesn’t tilt, so angled cuts aren’t possible. One letdown is the accessories. The photos show a complete set of bits in a case, but mine came with just five drill bits in a plastic bag, and there’s no case for the rest of the Dremel-style tools. Blades, sanding discs, buffers, and other accessories were simply tossed into plastic bags. The speed control is on the power supply, which is a bit awkward. You’ll have to keep the power brick near the saw if you want to change the speed while working. Still, for what it is, it gets the job done. This is a really neat little table saw /rotary tool set. Of course that's only meant for small jobs but it is excellent for that purpose. pretty easy to put together but you do have to be cautious since both the saw blade and the rotary tool do not operate independently of each other. This small table saw workstation is 110v AC powered. It uses an adapter to convert house current to DC (12v to 24v). It has 7 speed settings (1000 rpm to 6000 rpm), controlled by a switch on the adapter. What sets this saw apart from similar offerings on Amazon is two 'power take offs (PTO)'. One PTO allows a buffing/grinding/sanding wheel to be attached to the workstation on one side using a chuck that accepts a .3mm to 4mm bit. The other PTO allows a Dremel-like Flex Shaft to be connected to the workstation on the other side. The workstations speed is controlled by a 7 position slider on the power supply. The workstation comes with a 195 piece kit containing many of the popular attachments for shaping, sanding, and polishing with the flexible shaft as well as a number of drill bits. The flexible shaft will accept Dremel attachments. Additionally, the workstation comes with several 2" saw blades (coarse tooth alloy saw blade, a steel fine tooth saw blade, printed circuit board cutting saw blade, and a resin saw blade for cutting metal). A velcro disk is included that allows a sponge wheel, a wool wheel, or sandpaper (120 grit x2, 240 grit x2, 400 grit x2, 600 grit x2, and 1000 grit x2) to be attached. The drill bit case and the grinding wheel that are shown on the Amazon product page were not included. The unit I got had only had 5 drill bits (in the flexible shaft kit). There are 4 adhesive rubber feet that appear to go on the power supply. 5 hex keys, a chuck tightening tool, and a screwdriver are provided with the workstation. I had an issue with the flexible shaft connecting rod. The hole in the end of the connector that fits over the end of the flexible shaft was just slightly too small. I tried to force it to fit flush to no good effect. I finally had to bore it out with a 1/8" drill bit (the hole was larger than 1/8" but my next bit size up was too large. Working the bit about opened up the hole so the connector would fit flush, like the photo in the manual). When assembling the baffle (otherwise known as the blade safety guard) on the workstation (it sits on top of the rip fence), use thread locker on the baffle connecting rod (item 5 on the parts breakdown in the manual). Otherwise the connector will come loose when manipulating the baffle. In one unit, everything necessary to work various light/thin materials is right at hand. You can cut the material with a saw blade and then do the final shaping with the sanding disk or a flexible shaft attachment. The table saw cutting depth is adjustable (0.1 mm to 16 mm). It has an adjustable acrylic safety shield (baffle) and rip guide fence. It's sliding pusher provides a protractor for precision angle cutting. The workstation has sound deadening feet to allow for quiet operation (the workstation makes noise, about what you'd expect from an electric drill, but less due to the feet). The workstation's manual is very good. It is in color on glossy stock and pretty much covers all workstation operations. I detected no visual or operational defects in manufacturing. ... show more
