I am 63 yr old male. I hat long pants dragging. This is an amazing little tool.. it is cheap plastic looks like a toy. BUT IT WORKS If it lasts more then 1 year good deal. It surprised me, but this little tiny sewing machine actually does work. Don't expect to be doing crazy stitches or making canvas shoes or anything but I did successfully sew on some patches and hem my pants.

Took it out of the box and made a blouse immediately! The machine was threaded and ready to go! Easy to use, nice features, such as the light and foot pedal. I am not an expert, so the simple instructions were also quite helpful. Sorry to report that the sewing machine didn't last a month. It no longer works and I don't know why. Initially worked well for size, but tension would release and trying to get it back to where it should be for efficient sewing was an ordeal. After much ado I was able to sew a hem but too time consuming. Would be sufficient for small mending jobs. Plain and straight sewing. Do NOT try to adjust tension as it is just a screw against metal without spring wiring as on a regular machine. Had to return and they were very amenable to a refund. I would buy again if they could fix the tension issue. ... show more
