So after rereading the broken English instructions numerous times and trying everything possible for 2 days straight, I've come to the conclusion that "motion detection mode" just isn't a thing. When put into motion detection mode, it will record as soon as you put it in that mode, for anywhere from 11 seconds to 30 seconds, then turn off, and no matter how long you wait or how much you move, it does not record anymore. The whole reason I ordered this camera was for that alone, and it doesn't work. This camera is junk. Tried it in 720p and 1080p mode, and the 1080 looks more like 480. Also, in 1080 mode, no matter the length of video you managed to get it to take, after about 5 seconds the playback freezes. Sound still works, but video doesn't.

The media could not be loaded. I first purchased the original version of this camera a little over a year ago. Working in a public setting, one's personal items often come up missing. After concealing this camera just inside the cusp of my copier, I caught the culprit! Unfortunately, the camera itself was lost when I moved. Here is my honest feedback after receiving this product for review. The new, updated version of this camera is just as practical as it ever was. For me, the camera's purpose is now to watch what my puppy does while I am out. You are not able to view the product in live time-only on a memory card. Remember, this is a $20 camera, so you don't really have room to complain about this feature! The video shows my pup and me at my apartment. With the included camera mount, I am able to set this camera up anywhere I need, adjust the angle to fit the requirements of my particular setting, and then start recording. I use the SanDisk microchip to store my files from this camera. Unless you were looking for this, you would seriously never see it. This camera is TINY. The features I like the most are the abilities to record in different resolutions. It also has a night vision setting and a motion detection setting. So, if you want to preserve storage to only be used when motion is detected, this mode is extremely useful. There is also a setting to where one may take pictures rather than video. Again, as the review headline suggests, the camera quality is shockingly good for such a small, reasonably priced camera. To conclude, I will say this. I am a penny pincher, and I often have buyer's remorse. I do not regret ever purchasing this camera. It is reasonably priced, incredibly concealable, and a perfect match for its product description. Learning the difference between the two buttons is the only challenge I faced while learning to use this device. Learning the buttons took about three minutes if that says anything for you! If you are considering purchasing this camera, I would go with my gut. If you're looking for hidden cameras, you have a reason for doing so. Don't waste your money on an expensive brand. This is the way to go!

Was overpriced and came from China instead of from a USA warehouse that it is lead to believe. Night vision lights do not work!!! This camera is a piece of JUNK!! I bought for a price and before I got it they dropped price to half of what I paid. I am very disgusted with the company and also the cameras. After asking the company why it was coming from china, they told me that USA warehouse was out of stock. Also the instructions that came with product is a joke. There is no way to see what to do or how to set it up with a menu. If I could give product a no star rating, that would be too high. Shoppers Be AWARE!!!!!

Let's start out with how small this camera is. Go get three pennies and stack them in your hand. That's how much this camera weighs with a micro SD card in it. For a camera, that kind of size usually means poor battery life and poor image quality. While I can't say this camera doesn't suffer a little from those flaws, I can say that it punches way above its weight class. Pros: 720P and 1080P video, Night Vision, TINY size. Cons: Short battery life, complex mechanics, poor still images. If this camera was just a 1080P video camera with a night vision mode, it would be an amazing product. The problem is, it tries to be too many things, and suffers for it. The motion detection feature doesn't seem to function at all, and the finger gymnastics you'll have to do over the camera's two buttons to activate the various modes are not very intuitive or user friendly. It is, however, very simple to take 1080P videos that are surprisingly crisp. POV shots a la GoPro are easy enough with the included clip, and you can use it as a handy dash cam/nanny cam with a USB cable to support the battery. All in all, this is a very capable little product at a very reasonable price. If you can navigate the controls, it has a lot to offer. A re-designed manual (6 pt font is hard to read), and simpler scope of options would make this an easy 4.5 out of 5.

Nice, small device but it's too complicated to remember how many times to press the button for video or photos. To date it has not detected any motion. The video quality is pretty acceptable.
