Definitely has some quirks, but a really pleasant reverb sound. It needs either a buffered pedal or an always-on pedal before it if you're using it in front of an amp (or just use it in the effects-loop), otherwise it makes the plain guitar signal MUCH quieter with the pedal on and off, like its input impedance is something very strange. A buffered pedal or something you leave on (like an EQ or compressor or always-on distortion) before it "solves" this quirk, but something to keep in mind. When on, the pedal affects the dry guitar tone a little, and in slightly different ways depending on which reverb option it's set to, even with the mix+damp at minimum. Generally it cuts a little mids or high-mids, making some distortions a little less "cutting" or "crisp/defined". Some of the reverb options are still audible even with the mix knob at minimum while others drop to nothing but dry signal like you'd expect. Most/all of the settings that DO turn fully dry have a bit of a shelf at the low end of the mix knob where they suddenly give a moderate amount of wet signal rather than having a "barely there" option on the mix knob. There's no "drippy" spring, but most of the reverbs sound very pleasant and lush to my ears, very ambient. I've heard much worse for 2-3times the price. It CAN get subtle with some careful adjusting, but that's definitely not its forte. The effected reverbs (gate/slowgear, chorus, lofi) are always-on effects when chosen, affecting the dry signal even with the mix and dwell all the way down. The flange and echo effects are a little odd where the echo is always-on but gets concealed by reverb the more the raise the mix and dwell knobs, while the flange is very very subtle and in a fixed position more like it's just using the 20ms delay and not any feedback nor oscillation. I personally wish the chorus was more subtle, but the normal verbs are all very usable to me, so I don't mind.

Worked well for 5 months, then ran into issues where it just started making random buzzing noises. I had to take it off my pedalboard and look for a replacement.

I got this for my daughter who is just starting out on guitar. Her amp does not have any built in reverb so this little pedal was to give her some alternatives to a dry only signal. For the price what you get is pretty good. It has several modulation effects that are fine for a beginner to play with, or for the seasoned guitarist to experiment with. Guitarists these days have it pretty good, back in the day this thing would have been a miracle today it's just another import pedal. So far it has provided a bit of fun and creative sounds. Hopefully it will endure stomping use.

For being the cheapest digital reverb on Amazon (at the time of poasting this) this is a really great and flexible effect pedal. Sound quality is decent, especially fond of the hall, plate and lofi reverbs. The main qualities of each reverb sound, depth and mix, are adjustable however, thr primary "pre-reverb" sound is not adjustable. So for example, the lofi downsamples your input and then adds reverb, but you have no control over the downsampled sound. For studio there's a nice room reverb with some fast slap-back reflections that you cannot control speed of. Chorus adds chorus before reverb and you cannot control chorus parameters. That said, I have played with it with various instruments and I would say that all of the sounds are useful for something. So at less than $25, it's a great value. The lack of a battery is compensated for by the 9v jack and the 5v USB power input (wall wart/cables not included). Really easy to use and the light up pots make me happy. It's also a mini pedal format so it's highly portable.
