  • Light and Portable! Works great with my Samsung Note 9
The projector was priced at $99.00 when I checked it but it had a $30 coupon at that time so I thought it was a great deal already! I am not particular with all the specs. I was told to look at native resolutions when looking for projector and this projector from Elephas has 800*480 P. There are other models that have better numbers but as I was reading the reviews for this projector, it seemed that it didn't really matter that much if your intention is just for personal room use. So, I just went ahead and purchase this. It was delivered earlier than I expected so I was super excited. It was supposed to come on Monday but Amazon notified that it's arriving earlier on Saturday. Here are the things I like about this projector: 1. It is light and portable. If you have limited space or constantly relocating to places, this is a good alternative from getting a large flat screen TV. One thing to note though, although it is still visible when I projected it on daytime (see attached photos), it is obviously not as clear as compared to using it in a semi or completely dark room. 2. Even though the specs are just average compared to other high end projectors, it serves its purpose and that is to project shows on my big blank wall in my bedroom. The image is clear and bright enough for me. 3. It has Wi-Fi capabilities meaning I can connect my phone to it wirelessly if I understand it correctly. I read from other reviews that they are not able to cast streaming sites like Netflix and Hulu from there phone and recommend getting a Fire stick or Roku remote. The product description even states that the the mirror display doesn't support play protected videos because of copyright. However, I was able to do so with my phone. I have a Samsung Note 9 and I could stream Netflix by using the Smart View feature from my phone. I also purchased a HDMI to USB-C cable just in case and when I used it, it activated the Samsung DeX which was a nice surprise. 4. The Nintendo Switch connects fine with this projector as well (see attached photos). 5. It has a generic female threaded receptacle for tripod screws so it was so easy for me to attach this projector to my camera tripod (see attached photos). 6. I could connect my laptop to the projector as well using the HDMI to USB-C cable. Here are a few setbacks I found: 1. The power port cable is too short for me but this is an easy fix by using an extension wire. 2. If you are with audio quality, the speaker from the projector is not the best. I resolve this by connecting the audio from my phone to a Bluetooth speaker while casting the show to the projector. If you connect a device through a cable, the audio will come out of the projector, I think there is an AUX and AV port you can connect to the projector for better audio. 3. The fan noise can be loud and be a bother to some. Notes: 1. I just needed to connect my phone wirelessly once and then after the connection between my phone and the projector was established, I was able to connect my phone back to my home Wi-Fi. I didn’t have to use my data to watch a show while casting it to the projector. 2. You might need a fast Wi-Fi connection. There were a few lags when connecting it wirelessly but not really noticeable for me . I feel like it is more stable when connecting a device directly through a cable. There is an option to insert an SD card or external hard drive as well. 3. You need 2 AAA batteries for the projector remote control. Overall, I am happy with my purchase and will recommend it to my friends and family! I will try to give an update in 3 months or so. ... show more

  • Mini Projector for iPhone, ELEPHAS...
Amazing projector

  • Great for My Classroom!
I needed a projector for my classroom. I had to buy it myself, so I also needed something inexpensive. This has worked great! My classroom has an entire wall of windows, which happen to be the wall opposite my whiteboard. I have thin, white shades that pull down, but they do not block the light by any means. I was concerned that students might not be able to see. However, this little projector does great! The children have no problems, and they LOVE being able to enjoy a multimedia approach to lessons. The sound is adequate for classroom use too. I usually need it pretty close to full volume though for everyone to hear. (I think you could hook up an external speaker, but I haven't tried.) The review format asked about a remote. Mine did not have a remote. I'm not sure if it's missing or if that is for a different model. A remote would be nice though. It is challenging to see the button labels, especially with the lights off. Sometimes when trying to adjust the volume I hit the wrong button, which can cause trouble. I have only used it to connect to my phone. I prefer to connect it using the USB charging cable, but sometimes it will not recognize that my phone is connected. This is super annoying (and the main reason I took off 1 star.) However in those instances I have been able to connect via the wifi option, which I imagine most people would prefer anyway. My boys love it when I bring it home. They have me connect it to their Switch, which projects their video game on the wall or ceiling. I even lent it to another teacher, who had a picture on her computer. She used it to project the picture (larger) onto a wall and then traced it onto another medium for an art project. Bottom line: You won't find a better projector at the $100 price point! It even included the AV cables, so I can hook up a DVD player. I haven't been able to get a DVD player for my classroom yet, but that is next thing I am working on. I HAVE ZERO REGRETS BUYING THIS PROJECTOR. I would choose it again. ... show more

  • Good for what it is.
For the 80$ I spent, it does it's job. It's capable of screen mirroring with my android, and does a good job syncing with videos. There's an hdmi port, a usb & usb-t port, a VGA port, and even an audio jack.
