Upon receiving the computer, I took out the NVMe drive, wiped it, and installed a fresh download of Windows 11 Pro no problem. I did have to install the device drivers from AMD site and the rest from the manufacturers site. After that, I ran a few benchmarks. I did also open the BIOS and turned it on high performance mode which is different than Windows' power mode which I also put on performance mode. This eeked up the performance a good 10% although it also increases the noise of the fan a lot. I have wifi 6 and it was fast as well as loading pictures off of my external NVMe drive for my Lumix S5iix camera. Loaded VS Code with AI Studio and was able to download some local LLMs which ran great as well. Worth the spend for sure. ... show more

    • Not quite great
First thing first: There are no DIMM sockets in this thing. Hope you wanted 32GB DDR5-8000, because that's what you're getting. That's my #1 disappointment. 2.5GbE is a little light for external I/O, but I can live with that until I get around to connecting a big-boy NIC over USB or Oculink. The chassis is solid and heavy. It's also not silent, although it's not quite as loud as a Beelink SER5 or OG Intel NUC. It was very easy to open the machine and pop in bigger drives, which is how I found out about the unfortunate RAM situation. Windows was just fine; the install image I made for a BeeLink Ser5 actually worked well enough to get the PC running without needing a full OS reinstall. I never even tried the OEM Windows install since I pulled the Crucial drive the PC came with before I ever turned it on. Windows 11 Professional did reactivate without having to input a key, so I'll call that a win. Marvel Rivals ran well at 1080p and most of the settings turned down, but frankly having a mini-PC with enough power to run Marvel Rivals at all is impressive. I didn't buy this for gaming but rather as a low-power virtual machine host for services like Plex and Immich. Neither of the Linux Live Distros I had on hand (Rocky and Mint) would operate fully with the HX 370. This is a question of the release schedule of your distro of choice versus AMD's release schedule, but getting everything working was a rare case of installing in textmode or compatibility mode, then updating OS components. Not a huge deal, but it's also more work than just plugging in a live USB stick and clicking the install button. I'm comfortable with Linux and this should not be a problem for much longer regardless. My system is current running Rocky Linux and working fine. Right now, this guy is a novelty for me. It's clearly just fine as a fast and small PC, but the soldered RAM is a real drawback long term. It would be fantastic as a pure Windows client machine and in that regard I have no regrets, but it's not QUITE what I was hoping to get. ... show more
