  • Happy with the new toy. Compact Powerhouse with Impressive Performance!
I recently purchased the Mini PC 12th Intel Alder Lake-Ν95 and I must say, I'm thoroughly impressed. This micro PC, despite its compact size, packs a punch with its performance. The PC comes with a 12th generation Intel Alder Lake-Ν95 processor that can clock up to 3.4GHz, ensuring smooth and efficient performance. Coupled with 16GB DDR5 RAM and a 512GB M.2 SSD, it provides ample storage and ensures that applications run smoothly. One of the standout features of this Mini PC is its 4K support. The visuals are crisp and clear, making it perfect for both work and entertainment. The PC also comes with dual Ethernet ports and three HDMI ports, providing plenty of connectivity options. The inclusion of WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 4.2 ensures fast and stable wireless connections. The RGB light is a nice aesthetic touch that adds to the overall appeal of the PC. Pros: - Powerful performance - Compact size - Ample connectivity options - Fast and stable wireless connections Cons: - None so far In conclusion, the Mini PC 12th Intel Alder Lake-Ν95 is a compact yet powerful device that delivers on all fronts. Whether you need it for work or entertainment, this PC won't disappoint. I highly recommend it to anyone in need of a reliable and high-performing mini PC. ... show more

  • Good Media Player
Size: T9PRO 8+256GB Mini PC
At the moment I am using it as a media player, it is working great. Connected via Ethernet to my network server playing remote video files in VLC without problem. I actually like the fact that the PC connected to my TV is not an online Windows account, I do not need all my history on every device. It is small, I've attached a picture with some USD for scale reference. My eventual plan is to use this as an OPNSense router. To get to the BIOS you need to hit the <DEL> key during cold boot to change the power supply boot behavior. At least this check item means it should work. It does feel slightly warmer than I would have expected from such a low power processor; however, it is not hot by any means. Also, the fan is extremely quite, I cannot hear it over the AC. Update: Went ahead and installed Ubuntu 24.04 on a replacement SSD. As the SSD was not bootable, it booted straight to my USB of Linux or maybe it defaults to booting USB - I cannot say. Regardless, once it booted the install was simple. Rebooted and it came up fine. I've played some 4K video and it is a solid display, played over the network and no problems pulling the video from the SMB drive. A solid and drama free Linux machine. Update 2: Installed IPFire without incident and the little box is now a soft router. After setting boots on power cycle it is running fine. The only problem is Comcast will not respond to a new router unless the modem is also power cycled. After I figured that out it is fine. Getting 800M download on a wired connection to the PC while allegedly I am paying for 1200Mb. Not sure if it is this box or if it is Comcast or the measuring service but it is about 5 times what I was getting from an old laptop I had been using. Summary - a good little box for Windows, Linux or a dedicated firewall/router. Final note - the LED ring on the base is annoying as heck. I taped over it. I could not find a way to turn it off. ... show more

  • Cool great little Mini PC
Purchased this for $150. Comes with Windows 11 pre installed, 16 GB memory and a fast 500GB SSD. Has 3 HDMI ports where you can connect to 3 displays at once, 2 LAN ports and 3 USB 3.1 ports. It also comes with Bluetooth and wireless adapter as it makes connecting to my WIFI router and to my Bluetooth enabled keyboards and mice effortlessly. Also in the package, you will find power adapter, mounting hardware and a HDMI cable. I made sure to run Windows Update first thing. It took some time to update but its worth it. Also like that this is a stock Windows 11 with no bloatware from manufacturer. I use this in my home office connected to my portable 15 inch display which I use for basic to moderate computing, stream lot of video but no games. I am pretty sure it can handle games as well but I am not a gamer so haven't tried playing games on it. For me, it serves this purpose very well as it's lightning fast. Looks very nice too as the changing RGB lights add cool effects to it. I only wish that it had a USB-C display out as well so it would have been easier for me to connect to my portable monitor with just one cable instead of 2 that I am using now. Not a deal breaker by any means. I would highly recommend this Mini PC to anyone who is looking for something compact but yet powerful with a lot of connectivity ports. ... show more

  • Works well for me. installed Ubuntu 24.04 LTS
Size: T9PRO 8+256GB Mini PC
Works well for me. I don't like Windows, but sometimes need it. I tried to install Linux Mint in a dual boot set up. Had driver issues I could not resolve. Installed Ubuntu instead and it was probably the easiest to the five or six Linux installation I've done. The one caveat is Ubuntu doesn't see the wifi modem in this little computer. but I was planning to connect via Ethernet anyway, so it isn't an issue for me. BTW Ubunto is so much easier to install then Mint is, I will be doing Ubuntu now as my first choice. The computer works like it should, never gets very warm, and is nearly silent. The light show runs whenever the computer is turned on, which might be annoying in a dark room, but in normal lighting, I don't notice it unless I look directly at the computer. I do some drawing and animating, and run two monitors all the time. I have no problems unless I have a lot of tabs open in chrome plus a few other programs running. I do not have that kind of problem if I'm running Firefox or the duckduckgo browser. It's a good little PC for me, but the hard drive is kind of small for this dual boot set up. I will probably have to add an external hard drive sometime within the next year, or get rid of windows. The computer is fast in works well, and was affordable. and I can run windows if I need to. ... show more
