It heats up fast and generates way more heat than the portable battery-charged types that I bought and returned before finding this one. The cord is nice and long and reaches one of the few outlets in my older house nicely. I just clamp down once and watch the plastic seal back up, and store the sealed bags in a container together. Oh and by the way, this tool is super cute. You can probably use this straightener for thinner hair but I’m not sure my daughter with thick hair could use it without doubling the time she’d need to straighten it all.

The top of the iron is too hot to touch and it is very hard to use and overheats quickly.

I bought this for my argumentative bangs that want to curl up in all the wrong ways. Works exactly like I expect. The small scale keeps me from burning my face when I try to straighten my bangs out. I'm quite uncoordinated with hair care, and this is an easy to use tool.

I used this to seal up plastic pouches but it does not close tight very well. I would definitely not use this on my hair.

This product looks just as it does in the photo and works quite well. What I was surprised about is how hot the outside of the straightener gets. There are some very small rubber pieces on it for finger placement, but if your fingers slip off of them in any way you could potentially burn yourself.

I was expecting a small flat iron, which it was, about 7.5 inches… but the heating element itself was 2.25 inches. Also, I have short hair - which is why I bought a small flat iron - but my hair is super thick and fairly coarse which did not work with this product. This will probably work well on short, fine hair but it was an epic fail for me.
