This has worked well for shading the RC 2 screen in direct sunlight, which is exactly why I bought it. In bright conditions, being able to see the display more clearly makes a real difference, and this definitely helps. The fit is on the tight side when installing it, but in my opinion that is mostly a positive because it feels secure once it is in place. The only issue I ran into is that I cannot close it completely because I use a neck strap, although that is not really the product’s fault. One thing worth noting is that it changes the balance of the controller a bit when using a neck strap. That is not a dealbreaker for me, but it is something other buyers may want to know. The fit, durability, and protective qualities of this cover are all really good but it's actual ability to block the sun and improve screen visibility is way less than what I was expecting. It does help to block some sunlight just not nearly as much as I would like which is the only reason it didn't get all 5 stars ... show more

The cover is a nice addon. It took 2 minutes to install and it fits perfect. Nice solid piece. I didn't install the screen protection glass yet but it came with cleaning supplies and the glass pieces are individually wrapped and protected. A small driver is included to tighten the 2 hinges if needed. This cover is a must, even if you don't need a sun shade, it will add protection for your screen and you won't need to remove the stick controls any longer . ... show more

Not as good a quality as the last one I had. Seems more flimsy than what I had in the past for same controller. The screen protectors are worthless. I have put on more screen protectors on iPhones, back of cameras, etc. These will never fit right and leave bubbles along edges.
