Use: Battery swap and UPGRADE for 36v gold cart Quantity: 3 Weight: -22lbs each! (For a total of 66lbs) -I switched from 6 Interstate lead acid (55lbs each totaling 330lbs) losing 264lbs from the cart and it certainly feels it! Charger: -Updated to an on board charger (15amp Noco Genius "Gen5x3") -I keep it connected to my batteries and simply plug it in when I'm done using the cart. It charges each battery individually and stops charging individually as well. -I'd go bigger maybe 20amp or 30amp if you want a fast charge. It works well, but it did take aprox 14-16 hours to charge them back to full after the trip mentioned below. Practical test: -On 07/12 the wife and I took the cart out on a date night The new batteries on a full charge read right at 42v on the voltage meter. -That night we drove 24.2 miles over the course of 4 hours averaging 14mph with LED headlights ON -When we got home and they read at 39.1v PARTS USED FOR BUILD: 3 of these batteries- $187.99 each 1 Noco Genius "Gen5x3" $187.99 1 Pair of 8in wires (golf cart wires)-$12 1 Pair of 14in wires (golf cart wires)- $14 2 Longer terminal bolts(aprox 1.25in)- had'em 1 Master kill switch- $13 -This helps make sure not of my accessories aren't leaching my batteries -IMPORTANT: Using this became the connection point from the far end of the sequenced battery + side to the positive cable coming directly from the cart (I would have had to buy a very long cable, one and then connected them with a creative solution) GET the SWITCH. GRAND TOTAL for swap: $790.96 NOTES: -The bolts (Phillips head) that the batteries come with are pretty short but worked for all the terminals that were minimally occupied (battery charger &battery charger and cable). -I had to use some longer ones on the terminals that I tied my accessories into OPINION: I was extremely skeptical making the switch and opening the money. I could find but 1 other review that did this swap, it was very helpful Do the swap! If your hesitant it's understandable but these are less expensive (overall), light in weight (your cart will go faster) have better longevity and can run for longer periods. I believe the batters would have kept running after the trip mentions above. I am so glad I did! For the money the outperform lead acid, save a ton of weight on the cart and should last 3-5x times as along! ... show more

These are great! Installed them in an older club car, replacing the old deep cycles. We are currently charging these about every 4 days, as they are barely discharging with daily use. This cart is used for security officers, so it runs for roughly 10 straight hours every day, with several trips up and down a parking garage, lots of hills, etc., and it is performing better than it ever has. Very good Batterys but if you put them in a golf cart for 36 V, you have to put a balancer on all three batteries cause overtime. One battery will eventually die. They do not stay balance on a 36 V golf cart.

Best upgrade for your golf cart if you have old heavy lead batteries. Probably 1/3 the weight. Instant speed increase. Appx 8 more mph. charge lasts so long. Easy install. Bonus got $10- for each of my old batteries at car parts store so $40- rebate. Absolutely recommend this upgrade.

I am a 79 year old retired engineer. I live in a rural area on Lake of the Ozarks where my 2002 EZGO electric golf cart is the major way of moving around the property. I had a need to replace my old worn out lead acid, deep cycle batteries after 6 years. Looking at the alternatives, lead acid Vs Lithium. The lead acid batteries are a constant pain needing water. Lithium is almost maintenance free. Lithium batteries weigh about a fourth of lead acid, and deliver just as much power. I lost 300lbs of weight on my cart that makes it faster. Lithium batteries charge faster. Lead acid can be charged 500 to 1,000 times. Lithium 2,000 to 5,000 times. The only negative I see is in the winter that 300lbs of extra weight helps in snow, but I am 79, and try not to get out in the snow DON'T make my mistake. Initially be sure to fully charge each Battery separate, and place them 24hrs in parallel. This will require a 12v Lithium Battery charger. I had a 36v lithium charger, but did not have a 12v lithium charger, and had a problem with the batteries being balanced, and my cart would just die when one of the three batteries went low. My batteries were reading: First battery (Neg load side) 12.82v, Middle battery 7.92v, Third battery 13.31v . Since then I bought a 12v charger with lithium capabilities, and fully charged all three batteries, and put them in parallel for 24 hrs. They all had a 14.2v reading after putting them in series for my 36v EZGO TXT 36v electric. So far no new problem. I believe this fixed my problem. Also, avoid disrupting the voltage balance of the 36V 100AH battery pack by, for example, do not draw 12V power from one of the 12V 100AH batteries. Buy a step down transformer to get 12v, or use a seperate 12v battery ... show more

You know, I actually installed this in my older EV, a first generation Leaf, to replace the original smallish lead acid battery, which kept dying. I had to finagle the terminals a bit to fit, but it's served perfectly for a year and a half now. It's not an automotive battery as such, not used to actually crank over an engine as with an ICE one, but just powers all the on-board 12V electronics, and has performed flawlessly for that purpose. ... show more
