I've had this tool for about 2 years. It is terrific. I cut down an Osage Orange (bodarc, hedge) yesterday. Those folks in the Midwest know how hard this wood is. I used the pruner to quickly cut up the upper branches and hauled them off easily. Then I tackled the trunk and heavy branches with a chain saw. It made for faster and easier work. Today, I dug a trench near some bushes. As I hit roots with the shovel, I just clipped them with the pruner. Again, this tool speeds things up and makes tiring and slow work much easier. I own several Milwaukee tools and this pruner with an m12 battery is plenty. Maybe other similar tools are cheaper, or stronger. I like this one. ... show more

    • If it fits it cuts!
Bought this for my wife due to her losing strength in her hands and not being able to prune her roses with a hand clipper. Light enough that she enjoys using it. I've used it to prune small branches from my trees. Works great and small m12 battery lasts all day.

    • Good pick for older folks
As I have come to expect, Milwaukee makes good tools for the home owner. I've seen reviews by contractors that prefer other brands for construction grade tools, but I'm not in that class of users. I had a choice to make between the M12 and M18 versions of this tool. As I would expect, the heavier duty tool had much more impressive specs, but I'm in my eighties now and my specs are on the wane. This tool is very well built and feels like it will remain serviceable for a long time. The weight of the tool is very manageable, and the ability to set the tool at either fully open or 1/2 open at the start of the cut makes for efficient use of time and effort. Battery capacity was good, even in the smaller M12 size as I was ready for rest before the tool was. Balance of the tool and maneuverability is good as handle placement makes the battery a good counterbalance for the engine and blades. I recommend this tool. ... show more

    • Easy cutting
Bought this for my wife's birthday (her choice) they work great. She does a lot of puttering in the garden and thought these would be nice to have. Well she loves them, they cut nicely and are easy to use and she doesn't have to squeeze them like her other pruners. These have 2 power settings for different thickness of work. These are a quality Milwaukee tool. ... show more

    • Great Tool
My favorite new tool! Milwaukee is a great brand and this tool cuts pretty thick (1” or so in diameter) and doesn’t hurt my hand.
