a light shell helps this jacket stay dry and warmer as the heat isn't immediately lost through the outside of the jacket. lasts about 2-3 hours on high with CP2.0 Milwaukee brand batteries. The heat is not as noticeable towards the end of the batteries charge. a quick toss in the dryer works great for removing dog hair that gets stuck in the hoodie. The fleece type lining in the sleeves and the material in the torso is good for 65-40ish degrees Fahrenheit without a battery. from 40-32ish it works great with the hoodie on high. once it drops below freezing the hoodie loses alot of the heat through the outside of the jacket quickly without a light waterproof shell to retain the heat. I've used it as low as -5 so far and it held up to the task, but i'd expect nothing less from Milwaukee. 4/5 for the steep price point with no batteries. cost more than alot of my m12 tools. ... show more

I like that it’s warm but I hate the battery it always jabs in to my kidney when I hope on a forklift to grab crap so I’m constantly fidgeting with the battery pack to get comfortable even though I’m only on the left for a few seconds or I take the pack out completely when I drive to work and the put it back in when I get there but other then that I like it it help when we had that week long Negative cold weather ... show more

I bought this after seeing a co-worker wearing one at school. I am always cold and hoped this would help. I am excited to say that yes it does! I do feel the jacket is a bit pricey especially since it did not have any batteries. I had to go to the local hardware store and buy batteries and a charger...so more money. I also wish the batteries lasted a bit longer. I was not able to heat it when I was heading home that evening due to a dead battery. (My first time wearing it was yesterday.) ... show more
