Description

The M18 FUEL 1/2 in. drill driver is the industry's most powerful drill delivering up to 60% more power, is up to 1.5 in. shorter and is up to 2X faster under heavy load. The POWERSTATE brushless motor delivers 1,200 in-lbs of torque and 2,000 RPMs providing fast drilling through demanding applications. The REDLINK Plus intelligence ensures maximum performance and protects from overloads, heating or over-discharge. Bought this drill mainly for drilling ice fishing holes. Has plenty of torque and cuts through the ice in no time. Have drilled dozens of holes and have not run a battery dead yet. So much better than hand drilling and working up a sweat out on the ice and then getting cold. Almost seems small in your hand for the amount of torque it puts out. the stabilizer handle works well to balance and divide the torque of the drill between both hands. Since I've decided to go to a single brand so I wouldn't have multiple battery chargers, I've centralized on Milwaukee since I have one battery charger for M12 and M18. I don't know if Milwaukee is better than other brands but, they had the tools that I needed when decided to go to one brand. So far, the Milwaukee tools have done an outstanding job for me so I will continue to buy more Milwaukee tools. This particular drill works very well for me since I really didn't need a hammer drill. Very powerful but, I don't know if it actually meets claimed power. ... show more

This works well for my husband. We bought it for his job, so he uses it everyday. It does what it is supposed to do. The battery on the other hand like all the batteries of these tools don't do so well when they are accidentally dropped, they will bust. But their power and life do well as long as you don't drop them. Luckily the price of the batteries are reasonable. Thank you for your time. ... show more

Powerful drill, well made. But compared with Makita, it is much more difficult to switch between gear modes (1 and 2). The stide mechanism is stiff and does not "click" into place.

    • Amazing torque!
Most of my power tools are Milwaukee from about 9 years now and there is good reason why. They last and get the job done then some. This new line is very powerful. I wish the batteries were more affordable but I’ve bought knock offs that seem to work fine for Now. I’m a home DIY guy and work on cars, motorcycles along with other interest and having good quality tools are worth the investment. You can’t go wrong. ... show more

This is a great tool. It works great. Just curious why it's not in the normal Milwaukee packaging as I have brought others. This was a gift so the presentation was a bit odd. It did NOT mention that it's refurbished, but it gives that vibe. lol Item came packaged snug with no scratches or dents. Item works perfectly, no issues with charge. Its such a powerful tool! Oh it has been very durable still going strong. Used for concrete boring. Used with a 6 3/8 wood hole saw. It is so powerful and durable.
