These molds are great quality and are easy to use and clean. However, the wicking the comes with these molds is not thick enough for candles of this diameter. My candle flame is very tiny and about to go out. Make sure you get thicker wick to go with your molds. Don't use the wick provided. Otherwise, I like the molds a lot and will probably get more of different sizes from this company.

I found the provided wicking to be just right - burns cleanly and provides a nice size flame. I use 100% beeswax and did not use any kind of mold release spray or cooking oil. After they cool for about 15 minutes I put them in the freezer for another 15 minutes and they pop out of the mold easily. I did not find the included mold sealer to work very well, and used Scotch tape instead. I have not needed to clean the molds out after each use. The resulting candles have a perfectly smooth surface.

For anyone with arthritis in their hands I will save you the hassle. This kit is not for you. You have to thread the soft cotton through a small hole. The cotton is not stiff like a wick you would buy separately, it's like very thin yarn. You can't reach up to grab it once it's finally through the hole because the unit is too narrow for fingers. I gave up once I got 1 inch through. Trying to push soft cotton through a hard hole is not worth it.

Had trouble using these with beeswax. The wax sticks to the edges, making the candle take an odd and uneven texture, Another side effect of this is that after pouring, the wax won’t shrink away from the edges, causing aggressive tunneling/cavitation from the top. A primed #2 cotton square braid wick will barely fit through the hole, so the lead wire wasn’t much help. It may be hard to remove the first time, but it’s much easier after separating the two sections. It’s well designed, but the material doesn’t work well for beeswax. I didn’t have issues with residue left after a candle was made

They ended up being a little bigger than I expected, but there still a wonderful size, and if you follow the instructions, the candle slides right out with no problem at all! Overall a great deal for the price.

Work good for beeswax candles. Just remember to put little cooking spray in the mold before you pour the wax in! Dosent take very much just a quick spray that’s all you need. Don’t like the puddy they give you doesn’t stick to the mold very good for your wick seal plus you can only use it once.
