    • Effective under my portable table saw.
My Bosch 4100 table saw is portable, but I don’t use it that way. It sits “Permanently” on It’s portable stand in my workroom. I attached its single dust collection port to my dust collector and still dust scattered all over the floor. I wasn’t sure this Product would actually work on a non-standard stand, but it does... and was pretty easy to install. Now there is much, much less dust. I still need to stop up the remaining holes... and think about An overhead Collection unit, but I am quite satisfied for now. It’s definitely worth the price. ... show more

Works great! Loved that I didn't have to drill any holes or worry about attaching snaps. The other bag we bought didn't fit right. This one is awesome, no more mess and the pluggable hole in the bottom hooks up to my dust collector easily as well.

    • Hoping for the Best
The DustCutter arrived this afternoon and I just finished installing it on an older 10" Delta contractors tablesaw. 1. There are absolutly no installation instructions. Simply a one page multi-lingual admonition to be sure to unplug the saw during the install and when it is not in uese. 2. That said, installation was straight forward and simple. Measure the velcro strips to fit the frame, peel off the protective tape, and stick the velcro onto the frame. Be sure to wipe saw dust from the area where the velcro will go or the dust will render the sticky side unusable. 3. Attaching the bag was simple. The might be some small gaps that may let dust out. I will see once I give the bag its first test. 4. The hose connection fits my Home Depot shop vac hose perfectly. No need for an adapter. I can through the squishy plug in the trash. I really hope this works. ... show more

A strong enough vacuum can collapse the bag. It does grab about 90-95% of the sawdust. You can substantially increase the efficiency of the system by using metal ducting tape and close off all openings in the cabinet so that air is only pulled through the Blade slot. Though not perfect, it is certainly cheaper than replacing a saw to gain this feature. ... show more

Overall this is a well made, useful product and despite its limitations, I'd buy it again. To make the most of it, I made several modifications. Because this is a "one-size-fits-all" I decided to customize the fit to my saw. I measured and pinched the four corners and riveted them so as to obtain the exact dimensions I needed (see photo). I also decided that rather than my shop vac, I wanted to attach my 4" dust collection system. I removed the original connector (simply slides off) and replaced it with an adapter (see photo). Because the adapter was not tight enough to stay on by friction I added some short screws. In regards to saw attachment, I listened to others who complained about the velcro system as being inadequate. It's pretty apparent that with dirt, vibration, the temperature variations in my shop and the pull of a vacuum hose that relying on the taped velcro would be foolish. I followed the suggestion of others and used magnets (see photo). Upon initial power-up of my vacuum I discovered another issue. Despite the cage used at the vacuum connection, the surrounding material was sucked against the cage limiting flow. To overcome this I used an old plastic microwave dinner plate that I modified and screwed to the cage's flange. worked perfectly. Finally, I'd advise against the use of the magnets. While they adequately held the cloth it was a real pain to install and also resulted in some gaps. I ended up tossing the magnets. As suggested by others, a more permanent attachment made sense. I riveted one side and then for the remaining three sides used nuts and bolts. Some have suggested rivets all around. Bad idea. In order to keep the saw in good condition, the jack screws for elevation and bevel need to be periodically cleaned and they, along with the support bearings, need to be lubricated.     • Cuts dust and noise
I use this on my jobsite saw, this is a little big for the base, but all I had to do was scrunch it up in places it helps with noise and also dust collection, but don’t expect a hermetically sealed environment.

Reduces dust when connected to a shop vac. I’m very happy with the amount of dust it picks up. I have a shop in my garage and my table saw sends dust everywhere. Not anymore!
