  • Great dust collection for my portable saw!
I have a first generation Bosch portable table saw. I used some small angle iron I had laying around, the included Velcro and some strong magnets and it’s working great to collect all the dust underneath the saw that the dust port on the back misses. I’m a small garage shop that is home to everything else that doesn’t belong in the house so this saves my marriage! ... show more

  • Best I could find for price, could be better
Easy to install. 2 1/2" port to hook directly to 2 1/2" dust hose. Only complaint is it doesn't cover the space between table saw and stand so virtually all dust removal ability of dust collector is wasted unless you craft something to cover those spaces. It does at least catch the dust that falls from saw by itself. I'm going to make something to cover the gaps between saw and stand ... show more

  • Awesome!
Not only is the Velcro strong but I'm surprised that its adhesive has held up for all these months of use. The suction is good & I especially like that it's removable & has a plug for when the unit needs to be moved away from the dust collector system.

  • Good Product with Some Exceptions
Overall this is a well made, useful product and despite its limitations, I'd buy it again. To make the most of it, I made several modifications. Because this is a "one-size-fits-all" I decided to customize the fit to my saw. I measured and pinched the four corners and riveted them so as to obtain the exact dimensions I needed (see photo). I also decided that rather than my shop vac, I wanted to attach my 4" dust collection system. I removed the original connector (simply slides off) and replaced it with an adapter (see photo). Because the adapter was not tight enough to stay on by friction I added some short screws. In regards to saw attachment, I listened to others who complained about the velcro system as being inadequate. It's pretty apparent that with dirt, vibration, the temperature variations in my shop and the pull of a vacuum hose that relying on the taped velcro would be foolish. I followed the suggestion of others and used magnets (see photo). Upon initial power-up of my vacuum I discovered another issue. Despite the cage used at the vacuum connection, the surrounding material was sucked against the cage limiting flow. To overcome this I used an old plastic microwave dinner plate that I modified and screwed to the cage's flange. worked perfectly. Finally, I'd advise against the use of the magnets. While they adequately held the cloth it was a real pain to install and also resulted in some gaps. I ended up tossing the magnets. As suggested by others, a more permanent attachment made sense. I riveted one side and then for the remaining three sides used nuts and bolts. Some have suggested rivets all around. Bad idea. In order to keep the saw in good condition, the jack screws for elevation and bevel need to be periodically cleaned and they, along with the support bearings, need to be lubricated. In summary, a good product that can be made great with some work. ... show more

  • Better than I expected
Read several reviews and this seemed like a good resolution to my 25+ yr old Delta contractors direct drive contractors saw. The fabric was heavier than. The fabric appears to be sealed well so no air bleed thru from fabric. The dust port has a cage inside the hood which I think is good. The plug for the port is just a foam insert with a cord. Haven’t attached it yet to the saw but I will probably place it between the stand and the cabinet so is doesn’t slide off. I am pondering if this might be a good device for my router table, too. Haven’t checked the depth vs the router protrusion under my table but a clever idea. ... show more

  • Updated review from 4 to 1
Update the bag just continues to fall off. I will likely end up drilling holes and riveting to my base. I have no idea why this company doesn’t have magnets they work extremely well. Went from 4 to 1 star So I’ve had this for about three days now. I had a project where I was ripping a bunch of pressure treated lumber. This product is great but no product even the expensive two stage vacuums with HEPA filters get all dust. I would say the company is honest with a vacuum or shop vac connected to this bag you probably do achieve 90% dust collection. I see zero issue with the Velcro adhesion to the bottom of the table saw. In other reviews people seem to be complaining about it. As long as you use some type of degreaser and clean the surface that you’re sticking the Velcro to you’ll be just fine. That said do I think that magnets would probably work better? Yes, they absolutely would. It’s great that they provide a plug to you so if you decide to just rip a few or cross cut a few pieces of wood you don’t have to go through all the trouble of connecting a vacuum. I will say for what it is it’s a little expensive. Still Its a nice addition to any table saw. My one tip is to make sure that you’re cleaning the dust out fairly frequently if you’re not using a vacuum. I’ve already dropped my arbor not once into a bag of sawdust and it wasn’t extremely easy to fine luckily I had a magnet. What I recommend this to a friend? I’d probably tell them about it give them the good and the bad and let them make the decision. I’m not over the moon about it. I hope this was helpful. ... show more

  • Works like a charm
This thing is great. They must have upgraded the velcro, because it sticks like glue and I move my saw a lot. Given, I always have a festool dust extractor hooked up to it (got myself an adapter for 3$), so the bag really never fills up so the weight of the dust would pull on the velcro attachment. 30$??? Well worth it….has reduced the amount of dust in my garage workshop tremendously. ... show more

  • Dust collector for the bottom of a table saw
It doesn't work that well unless you have a Shop-Vac hooked up to it. There is no suction device that came with the dust cutter. I don't understand the question suction power rating. There is no suction power unless you have a Shop-Vac
