I was really concerned that this controller was a refurbished one when I first ordered it. Reason being is that I had it sitting in my “cart” for about 6 days, then it stated it was sold out and there was no future date given stating when it would be available. About 4 days later it stated that it was available and it was a 2 day delivery. I went ahead and ordered it because our 13 year old has asked for an XBOX Series X console all digital and asked for a second controller for a Christmas present. When it arrived I was very surprised. It was in a regular Xbox box, all with normal new packaging, including the typical 2 Duracell batteries. So absolutely this controller is the real thing! This is a first party controller so it's going to be good quality. Not good enough to withstand my temperament when I'm playing fortnite, but better than your average third party controller. This is not my first purchase of a controller and it's not going to be my last.
