  • This thing is great. And inexpensive.
Style Name: Red Power Rack
I was just going to get a squat rack for my garage. But then I saw that I could get this for only about 200 bucks more than I was going to pay for a squat rack. All I had were free weights, and there are a lot of lifts/moves that you can do with pulleys and cables that you can't do with free weights. So it was an easy decision to spend that extra 200 bucks. I'm so glad I did. I'd read the reviews about the stickiness or whatever. I got some dry silicone lube as suggested in those reviews, and used it before my first use of this rack. I also balanced the weights (instead of putting them all on arm) as suggested. I have experienced no issues with stickiness whatsoever. In fact, I've experienced no issues of any kind in the 3 months I've had it. Here's my one caveat: They only give you bolts for concrete. I don't know who has a whole wall of concrete to bolt it to. Buying lag bolts and using them instead is no big deal, but the odds of having studs in all the places you need them are slim. So I took a tip from another reviewer and mounted (into studs) a 2x6 where the top bolts go and a 2x4 there the bottom bolts go and then put lag bolts through the bolt holes in the rack and into the wood that I had mounted. I don't rembember exactly how much I spend on the wood and the lag bolts, but I think it was about 40 or 50 bucks. Lag bolts aren't cheap, it turns out, and you need a bunch to mount the wood to the studs and then more to mount the rack to the wood. I knew going in that I'd have to do that (and now you do, too). I didn't know how expensive lag bolts were, so now I've spent about 250 bucks more than I would've for just a squat rack. Totally worth it. ... show more

  • Works great
Style Name: Red Power Rack
Functionally everything works as it should. instructions were pretty clear, and the videos helped out a lot. it took a lot more time setting up than I expected. mainly just because of anchoring the wooden supports. Very happy with it very happy with the cable system and how everything‘s working. Where I have it in a location I don’t fold it in often. So I do use the pull up bar. However, I did see some people not like how the pull up bar screws in. it really doesn’t take that long to screw in, but I could see how it could be inconvenient having to constantly do it if you have to fold it in a lot. Also the feet have to manually be adjusted up and down when storing it away which doesn’t take long again, but you have to kinda like get on your knees and lift it up just right it can get pinched so you might need a little wrench which could be annoying if you have to fold it in every single workout. ... show more

  • Very happy with this weight rack!
Style Name: Black Power Rack
The weight rack is awesome for the cost! It shipped in 2 boxes. Ounce i had recieved it, it took me about an hour to assemble. (Would have been less but i was mounting it in my garage and not into concrete) It takes up very little space and folds nicely. My only complaint is that it dosent have quite enough travel on the cable system for me. I am 6'5" and I tend to hit the top of the sliders when trying to get full range of motion on certain workouts. It's still works for many other things! The design is great, I would maybe suggest adding a little more travel on the cable system. It's durable and well put together. I saw someone on here upgraded the pulleys to aluminum and using silicone on the sliders which I highly suggest. If you are looking for a budget friendly folding rack this will do the trick! ... show more

Love this thing don't think just buy so much you can do with it. And you really don't even need attachments. I was going to buy jammer arms didn't need em put them on the lowest and press on a low bench same with dip bars put it on the highest number and just press down. Of course you can get the attachments if you want but you'll be good without them ... show more

  • Pulleys do not work fully extended outward
Style Name: Black Power Rack
Some things are incredible, some are completely wrong. I love that this extends fully outward. That's why I choose this brand. However, the cable pulleys rub the weight arms ... Pulleys do not work fully extended. I might actually trim the arms to make this work. The feet are very annoying and require turning every time you adjust. Why couldn't they just be spring loaded like the top adjusters? Lastly the pull up bar is a joke. You must open up the cables to place it in, then screw in end caps on both sides. You have to do this every time! Again, no spring action adjustment. So I just leave the pull up bar alone and don't use it. The range of cable travel is just ok. Better for shorter people (I'm 5'11"). Doesn't come with many attachments. All the negatives aside, price is good and It does the job. ... show more
