This Mikasa flatware is attractive, weighty, and long. The 45-pc set was an excellent value. Our only complaint is that the display place setting was extremely difficult to remove from its packaging. Each piece was anchored to the cardboard backing with 2 zip ties that were pulled as tightly as possible, leaving little room to insert scissors or any cutting tool under the zip tie without scratching the flatware. The other 40 pieces were inserted in individual plastic bags and cleverly packaged in cardboard boxes within a case-like box with the display set on top, ... show more

This is a very attractive set with all the extra serving utensils for a full table of 8 compliment, and is of a very high quality, with a brightly polished finish. One thing to note, all of the pieces feel just a little bit larger than standard (whatever that is - I guess I'm thinking stndard resturant fare), which at first seemed odd, but after a few days, I really rather prefer.
