I ordered these because I needed a few extra steak knives for when company comes for dinner, but didn't want to spend an arm & a leg for them. I am surprised at how sharp these are at such a great price. They say these aren't recommended for the dish washer, but Ive mistakenly put them in my dishwasher a few times and they are perfectly fine. I think they are completely dishwasher safe. **Update** it’s been a few months that I’ve had these knives. At first they went through the dishwasher just fine, but now they all have rust spots on both sides of the blades and most of the time I hand wash them. I changed my 5 star rating to 3 stars because they are still sharp, they’re just not attractive to use, and I’m disappointed in Faberware for making knives of this quality. ... show more

When I ordered these, I just needed something quick and inexpensive that I could use to replace a set I had that started rusting. These have held up for a couple of years, and after several washing cycles, basically seem new. Since they’re serrated, they slice better than some new non serrated knives that I bought a few months ago. The grip of these knives is comfortable enough for basic consumer need.     • These are not steak knives, they are food mutilating knives
I bought these knives on a whim. I have some other Faberware knives that are OK. But these knives, sold as razor sharp steak knives, are the worst cutlery item I have ever bought. I should have realized that the serrated edge would mutilate the meat. All four knives had a dull edge when I got them. That would be annoying enough, but the serrated edge just destroyed the steak. Plus pieces of steak would get stuck on the serrated edge. All in all, these knives should not be sold. ... show more
