Adult-size flatware made from thick, durable black metal. I'm guessing about 1-2mm thick. Not easy to bend at all without a good hammer. The matching black steak knives are very sharp and have paper protective sleeves. I carry my own utensils to work and while traveling. Also black, I put a steak knife in my travel set. It looks like the black finish will survive many rounds in the dishwasher. But, I handwash all my dishes because there aren't that many to clean since I wash them while cooking. This is a great flatware set to have in the dorms or any kitchen. It will beautifully serve 4 people at Thanksgiving and other holidays, too. I'm very happy with my new utensils. Enjoy! ... show more

I'm always worried that the flat wear I'm getting is going to be the thin cheap dollar store flat wear which I hate. Swear they so thin they disentigrate cause I always loose them. I bought this plain handle set cause it was on sale for $20 which I was sceptical of. So impressed though when it came, that little box was so so heavy cause the flat wear itself is heavy, thick n durable like the flat wear most of used in our grandmothers house minus the French scroll work. Wish they had a set to look like that though, I wouldn't have minded paying more now that I know this isn't a actual cheap made set.. and the color is not paint but actual black metal that gleams, so beautiful. I'm mad at myself for ordering the plain set cause if these are this gorgeous, then I really missed out. as Ive been going a long time using plastic wear and the thought of returning these just for a fancier version causing me to wait days longer, I can't do. I’ve had these for almost a year and they have held up great. They look nice and do the job nicely. The large spoons are maybe a bit too big even for a big guy like myself but work well for serving and other similar things. I’ll be honest—after 30 years of the same old silverware, it was time for an upgrade. Enter this matte black, heavy-duty flatware set, which makes me feel like a secret agent at every meal. Need to slice through a steak? Done. Want to intimidate your salad into submission? These forks don’t mess around. Each piece feels solid in the hand—none of that flimsy, bend-on-impact nonsense. I could probably use a spoon as a small shovel in an emergency. The knives? They could double as self-defense weapons (not that I tested this... yet). Bonus points for making my dinner table look like a high-end steakhouse instead of a "whatever’s clean" hodgepodge. Downsides? Well, the “dishwasher safe” part might be a little optimistic. Unless you like that “artfully distressed” look, maybe hand wash these bad boys. But for under $30, I’ve got a set that says, "I take dinner seriously." Would I rebuy it? Yes. Would I invite friends over to show off my utensils? Also yes. Final Thoughts: The Great Kitchen Upgrade of 2025 Between the badass silverware, the bulletproof glasses, and the museum-worthy plates, my dining experience has officially leveled up.
