The shape of the spoon is awkward. They are thick and kind of heavy. They are not my favorite, but they are good stainless material that will not rust that I got from the warehouse for not a lot of money.

If you don't have the cash, or you just want sturdy silverware that isn't crazy expensive, this is a good set. They will rust, though. The knives and spoons are especially vulnerable to this. Waterspots are kinda your dishwasher's fault. If you get spots or rust, just scrub it with a sponge and run it under the fawcet. You won't die from doing that. The bad thing is that i have noticed some pitting on the silverware, but i don't know if that is a manufacturing defect or just something unusual that happened to my set. All in all, decent for the price and will do the job. Just be aware of the rust issue. ... show more

i got a set of mikasa dinnerware as a housewarming gift about 20 years ago. i loved the style. at some point i managed to lose several pieces and was often running out between dishwashing loads. i couldn't find a match for the kind i had, have tried several times. finally went with these as the nearest i can find. they're great, but these are a bit heavier and more curved than my other ones. take up more room in my drawer but at least i never run out of forks or spoons now. ... show more

Nice weight and feel. Contemporary transitional look. Knives can get little rusty spots after wash. They rub off with effort. Keeping the set because overall I like it.
