I purchased the Addison set and I have to say, the pictures provided are pretty misleading. They give the appearance that the handles for all of the utensils are thick with rounded bottoms; instead, only the knives have the thicker handle. The rest of the utensils have a curved handle. I included a picture of the curvature so it’s easier to see. They aren’t easy to stack because of this, but they are still great quality and are a heavy weight. For the knives, three matched but the fourth one was manufactured backwards. You can tell by the handle. You can also tell because when you line them all up with the Mikasa label, one faces the opposite direction. Given the price tag for this set, I don’t feel like that should have been manufactured that way. ***Update*** The manufacturer sent me a replacement for the defective knife and I now have a complete and uniform set that I’m overall happy with. ... show more

We had a set of Mikassa silverware that we loved for over 15 years and lost many of the pieces over the years so we decided it was time to look for a new set. We couldn’t be more pleased with this set. The weight and ergonomics of it is perfect!

I'm a silverware snob. I HATE when my silverware isn't heavy enough or has that tarnished look... These bad boys are QUALITY. Nice knobbed weight on the end and definitely hold their luster, I had a set for a year when I decided I was going to double up and get another. No regrets.

    • Fork Tines Bend Easily
The set looks nice and the cost was reasonable. But after several weeks of use my wife complains the fork tines are easily bent. To show me, she picked up a random fork out of the drawer and indeed one of the tines was bent. The material from which these are made is simply too ductile. The good news: it's easy to bend them back, but really? A more minor complaint is that the forks are too narrow compared to other flatware we have owned and/or used. I's like trying to balance food on a chopstick - just narrow enough that it's not noticeable until you try to use it. I know Mikasa makes some great flatware, but I can't recommend this particular product line. ... show more
