These dishes are gorgeous. They are lighter in weight than my old hand-thrown ones but still have enough of a lip that they keep food from spilling over the side. I am giving this item 4 stars based on the inaccurate description and images of the Marion style set. The box is labelled "Embossed Marion," and as the box described, they are indeed embossed. The plates are not flat as depicted in the images. However, I loved that they are relatively light weight and that they are a "warm" white. I love Mikasa and this set met my expectations. Very stylish and clean in its design. After two decades of sticking to square shaped plates (including those from Mikasa) I am back to enjoying the round but a very contemporary shape. Highly recommend!

These (Colter) are the best dishes I've ever owned. I LOVE them. They are a true white, not that weird white-gray color that most porcelain and even bone china is. They are bright, simple, and perfect for plating dishes. They are great in the dishwasher, haven't gotten scratched after months of use, and haven't chipped or broken at all. My only disappointment is that the company doesn't make matching pasta bowls or serve ware. I even reached out to them about this and they seemed disinterested in the feedback.
