I’m new to 3D printing and thought the six color sample set was a good starting point for using silk PLA. When I received my set, I noticed one was brittle. So, instead of opening them all up, I decided to return them. To my surprise, I was sent a replacement at NO CHARGE! My second set worked wonderfully. I printed on both an Anycubic i3 Mega and an Anycubic Kobra 2 Pro. No issues printing, even at speeds of 240 mm/s. I’m happy with my prints and definitely their customer service.

I like to start with the bad and end with the good. The print quality is ok. It's not as good as any of my other filaments and the top and bottom leaves something to be desired. know it's not my printer or my profiles I am printing on a Bambu labs printer. The bottom layers of the print are sort of 2 tone and the top comes out slightly rough but this is something I have seen in other metallic filaments . But none of these issues seem to really impact anything. The filament is also weak. The good part about the filament is that it prints easy. I used with AMS system and printed just fine. No clogging or stringing. Only print fail I had was due to STL having minimal contact with bed. The colors also look great when printed and overall bed adhesion wasn't a problem. Filament was also wound very well and the only tangling I had was due to user error. Filament also seems pretty sturdy and not brittle. My print quality may have been better if slowed the print as I was printing at like 200mm. But I would definitely order from again. I am sure slowing down and changing layer heights would fix the quality issues.

I have repeatedly ordered rolls of filament of different colors over the past year from Mika3D. I'm always impressed! The colors are beautiful! They come vacuum sealed. I've never had any rolls be brittle or moist. My printer has never clogged while using this filament. If you are new and still deciding on brands for filament, give this company a try. I don't see them mentioned often, but they are so worth it.

The good: Inexpensive filament, colors are very pretty. That's it. The bad: Whatever blend of PLA this is, it is not like any other one I have used, it is VERY brittle, and it has a serious adhesion problem. Yes you could use glue or a smooth plate for extra adhesion, but when you have other metallic and shiny PLA that do not require it, it defeats the purpose. Also, even though the colors are pretty, they are not as striking or shiny as others in the same category; I believe it has to do with the recommended print temperature (215 C) so I bumped it up to 220 C, and it indeed made it shinier, and even printed better. Overall, it is an inexpensive filament with pretty colors but prone to issues and needing extra tweaking compared to other filaments in the same group.

I just started a printing business and as such bought a lot of different brands of filament to try. This brand and one other by far surpass all the others! (Including some big name brands like any cube) this filament by far runs better, smoother, and FASTER!!!! I highly recommend guys!
