In addition to this Miir Camp Cup, I also own a 14oz Yeti Rambler. In my review of the Rambler (link at the end of this review), I mention the Miir as having an advantage over the Rambler in its form factor if you are grabbing it like a tumbler (i.e., the Rambler is very wide and squatty); however, using the handle on this mug is not a good experience due to its design. The attached photos show the Miir side-by-side with the Yeti. The Miir handle is both thinner and narrower, which makes it much less comfortable to hold. In addition, the handle has an angle to it, that I can find no other reason for other than aesthetics. Because the handle is wider at the top, the mug tends to tip away from your hand when you pick it up, which I find extremely annoying. Although the Miir holds 2 more ounces than the Yeti, it is a lighter-weight construction. In addition to the smaller handle, it has a thinner lid with a smaller pour opening and slider. The overall weight of the Miir is about 25% less than the Rambler. If you have very small hands or otherwise find the Rambler to be too unwieldy, you might give this mug a try, but my recommendation is to get the Yeti.     • It's a good size, but...

I am using this cup for both hot and cold beverages. It's well built, but the vacuum/insulation quality has me wondering. Hot beverages heat the handle and cold beverages cool the handle. I know it keeps beverages closer to the temperature that they were put in at as compared to a ceramic cup, but other insulated stainless steel drinkware I have does not get hot or cold on the outside. It's also got the lead seal on the bottom of the cup to keep the vacuum intact, but is inset so the lead bit should not get exposed (there's been some controversy about lead sealed vacuum drinkware). I'm keeping the cup although there are a few flaws, it's a good size and comfortable to grip. ... show more
