The 19" Spree is recommended for extra small cats, "Toy" dog breeds and other small animals including Ferrets & birds. The Spree pet carrier is fast and easy to assemble with no tools required and is a perfect travel pet carrier for quick trips like taking your pet to / from the dog park, pet store, Veterinarian and etc. Each Spree features a secure / easy-to use plastic door that can open in either direction (left to right or right to left) & a built in carrying handle for easy portability. I had a bigger soft side carrier that I put my cat in for nights and traveling but he was clawing up the netting on it so I ordered this little one for him with the little pad to put in it. While he used to fight going to bed in the soft side, he actually jumps up and climbs into this little one at bedtime. The door latches are a little tricky, one will go in easy and then the other you have to push on the door a little. He has been trying to chew on the latches during the day so I turn it around towards the wall when he's not in it. It is light weight and would probably crack easily but he loves it and I do to. The media could not be loaded. I don't think that the door hinges are going to last the plastic material that are made off it's very fragile. In overall, is a nice cage. I'm only going to use it to put my kitten to sleep at night and to take him to the vet. I'll give it a 9 out of 10 because of the fragile plastic hinges. You will have to assemble this. But it is not hard. I am not very happy with the hooks that you can use your own strap with. I don't feel like they will stay put. The handle could be a problem if you have big hands. Other than that, this is very nice and worth the money. I would purchase again

It's a perfect size to carry. It's not bulky or awkward while carrying with the animal inside. The door has two knobs on top that turn and the hole door lifts out. To close insert the pegs on the bottom of the door into their slots and push the door forward and secure the top of the door by turning the knobs. I bought 2 of these small carriers for quick trips. Concept is good, but double-sided hinge design is flimsy and doesn’t want to stay solidly seated when closing. Used for trips to groomer or vet, and to give my tiny dogs each a personal space. My 2 doggies are each 4 and 7 pounds weight.

This crate is a nice little pet taxi! I have used it to bring my baby kittens home in and they were very comfortable in it! There is plenty of room for an adult cat in it also!
