We bought this for a stray we adopted, an elder beagle, who literally entered the house while we were still setting it up- an exceptionally easy process. Not a single tool needed. If our beagle had opposable thumbs he could have done it himself! So no problem there. But the interior tended to get wet whenever it rained... As other reviewers have noted, the floor slats allow a good deal of air and moisture to enter and we ended up insulating it with a roll of Reflectix Double Insulation which helps also with the sudden bouts of windy chilly weather we can have here in Virginia. While measuring for insulation we noted that the walls are not completely level, which reflects the slight shoddiness of the construction and materials. We added a Trixie Pet Door for a cheap and easy fix but that really REALLY spooked him and it took a couple of weeks and a lot of coaxing and improvising to get him inside once the door was added. But it worked. The roof overhang is too narrow and we will need to address that at some point. But it flips up which makes cleaning a real breeze. In short: Great value but takes some effort to make it a great home. A sturdy as expected for the price, super easy to assemble and the design is okay but with the drawbacks of insufficient weatherproofing. ... show more

This product arrived quickly. I am 76 years old and with a dolly was able to put it in the backyard, take it out of the box and unfold the dog house all in 25 minutes. No tools required to set up the dog house. Super easy. Looks great in the backyard. Highly recommend.

I absolutely loved this dog house. It's folding feature made it so easy to set up, the construction was great and the look was awesome! I also purchased the insulation kit which was super! However, my puppy wouldn't use it! She'd rather sleep with me! I was heartbroken to have to send it back! Great product! Would recommend this to anyone...but buy it immediately after getting you new puppy to insure it will please your puppy! ... show more

After reading the product details and reviews I felt this was the perfect doghouse for my beloved dog. I purchased the doghouse for large dogs. My dog is an 80 lb. dog. It arrived as promised by Amazon. I am a petite woman so I did have to ask my exterminator man to bring the package upstairs so I could unpack the box to place the doghouse where I wanted to put it. It was very easy to unpack and setup. I also purchased the insulation kit which was very easy as well to setup. I was really happy with my purchase and wanted to share my purchase with Social Media and made a post along with a picture of my happy dog. On my Social Media post I had 2 of my friends that had purchased the exact same doghouse who were not happy with the doghouse for the amount of money they paid because both stated the bottom fell out of the doghouse. I wasn’t that concerned and was still happy with my purchase as was my dog. However, last night the bottom fell out of my doghouse as well. Today, I am trying to figure out the best way to repair the floor in the doghouse. The problem lyes in the fact that when the doghouse floor is let down to secure it, there is only a small lip for it to sit on with no other reinforcement. I believe having small “L” shape brackets on the sides and front would alleviate the problem with the floor falling through. That’s my plan to correct the design flaw for this particular doghouse. Something the designer should take note and correct especially for the cost of the doghouse. My dog absolutely loves his new doghouse so I must make corrections to ensure he is happy!!!! I am positive that this has happened to other buyers and if the manufacturer has a remedy I would certainly like to know about it or if a repair kit is available I would like to know about it. ... show more

This dog house is so nice. The materials are sturdy and well-built. I unboxed and assembled it by myself in less than 10 minutes. It looks good and is exceptionally functional. We also purchased the insulation accessory separately and I'm so excited to have this wonderful dog house for our puppies this winter. I bought this house for new toddler chickens who were ready to go outside but not merged with the older ones. It's easy to clean, put together, size was perfect, easy for me to handle and move around due to the collapse part, my babies comfort was great inside but being in a very rainy state I covered mine to help with weather protection.... This roof came new with spliced rolled roofing that has metal trim alont the edges. The roof undet the rolled roofing is OSB. Even though I have caulked numerous times the roof had disintegrated The mfg doesnt even offer a replacement part for purchase. Wont ever buy from this company again.

I don't regret buying this, i like the wood hardware and the overall design, but it took, and will take additional work to repair and to strengthen the structure. Many of the hinges lost screws and it arrived unusable. This is likely due to the screws being general purpose rather than wood screws and did not have enough grip to survive movement, which would occur with travel or wind vibration. Some indication that the screws may not have been fully driven in as well. I purchased this for the ability to open it for cleaning, and for the wood design and look. I still like it, but i am contemplating replacing all the hinges and will most likely reinforce the structure to make sure it doesn't collapse due to wind with my dog inside. It looks like a lot of good work was put into the design and construction except for the hinges, which are clearly underperforming. Don't buy this unless you are able to fix things. ... show more
