Description

The Synido TempoPAD Z-1 is a 64-pad MIDI controller for music creators of all levels. Whether you're a beginner exploring finger drumming or a producer crafting your next track, this portable beat maker brings professional-grade control to your fingertips— standalone light shows. An 8x8 grid of responsive silicone pads delivers precise trigger response and vibrant RGB backlighting. Each pad's color is fully customizable, and 4 adjustable velocity curves give you expressive control over dynamics—from soft rhythms to powerful beats It works in conjunction with the Synido PC/Mac companion software. In the software interface, you can: Once set up, tap any pad to trigger both sound and light simultaneously. This visual, drag-and-drop approach eliminates the complexity of traditional MIDI mapping, making it incredibly accessible for first-time beatmakers. The 64 pads are organized into 4 drum kits, each consisting of 16 pads (arranged in a 4x4 grid). This gives you a total of 64 assignable drum sounds at your fingertips. Durable pads deliver balanced firm-soft touch with responsive control buttons. All pads transmit on MIDI Channel 1 (CH1) by default, allowing quick mapping in any DAW. This mode delivers the most authentic "finger drumming" experience, perfect for building rhythms and grooves with natural pad response. Transforms the 8x8 pads into a 4-octave piano layout (C2–C6). Each octave spans 2 rows of 12 keys (including sharps/flats). This layout allows you to play melodies, chords, and progressions across 4 octaves on a flat grid—similar to a traditional keyboard experience. It's ideal for producers who want to input melodic lines without a physical keyboard. For advanced users. Assign any MIDI message type to each of the 64 pads via Synido companion software: Additional per-pad settings: MIDI channel (default CH1), min/max velocity, momentary/toggle trigger. Build a bespoke controller for any workflow—Ableton effects racks, macros, or DAW mixers. Virtually limitless flexibility. Serves as a visual feedback receiver on MIDI Channel 3. When an external device (e.g., drum pad apps like Super Lights or Unipad) sends MIDI notes to Z-1, the corresponding pads light up based on incoming notes. Velocity determines RGB color output (up to 127 colors). Note: Receive-only mode—pads do not transmit. Turns TempoPAD into a stunning visual feedback terminal for mobile apps. Besides everyday creative scenarios, it can add atmosphere and enhance the expressiveness of live performances. The Synido PC/Mac app unlocks your full potential: Import/edit audio (MP3, WAV, WMA) with waveform view, drag samples onto any pad, paint custom lighting in real time, and save/load presets. The 1:1 interface mirrors the physical layout—easy for beginners, powerful for pros. Important Note: This is a MIDI controller, not a standalone instrument. It does not produce sound on its own. You will need DAW software (e.g., GarageBand, Ableton Live, FL Studio) loaded with virtual instruments or samplers on your computer, tablet, or phone to compose and hear music.
