I have an upright ‘Side-by-Side’ refrigerator / freezer and needed more freezer space. As I plan on remodeling my kitchen in the near future, I required a unit that fits under a standard height kitchen counter and this unit meets my design criteria. When “running” the unit is very quiet and performs as one would expect, i.e., it keeps everything inside frozen. What I like the most is the freezing system. Instead of blowing cold air via a fan into the freezer compartment it has four coolant circulating tubes in a closed system. One tube is located at the top and bottom (beneath a pullout wire storage basket) of the unit and one tube is located in each of the two fixed wire rack shelves. These wire rack shelves have a top and bottom approximately 1/2” apart forming a “sandwich” (if you will) through which the coolant circulating tube runs. Because of this type system (as opposed to a fan system) there are no areas in which the items inside aren’t frozen. For the price and cubic capacity, I think it’s actually very reasonably priced when compared to other undercounted freezer units. Would I buy this item again, absolutely yes. ... show more

Unit is well built. I like that the temperature control is in the back of unit and not inside. Shelves are cooled like a big upright and not cheap plastic inserts. Current daily electric consumption is 330 watts in a 75F environment. I sliced up some 1/2”-3/4” thick tenderloin steaks. I individually wrapped in film. Then layed them flat in ziplocks on individual shelves. They were partially frozen within 6 hours and solid by morning when i woke up. The freezer also had 4 pint containers gelato, 2 fatboy bar boxes, 2 klondike boxes, 3 bags frozen veggies, and some Italian ice cups. While still allowing the room to lay out (2) 1 gallon ziplocks flat on the shelves. Also there was an additional quart of streak shreds in the bottom basket with the veggie bags. I would recommend to anyone looking for a small upright freezer. There were a few small dimples on top. Not sure how since shipping box was intact. It didn’t bother me or function. Its cosmetic thats all. Hence 4 instead of 5! ... show more

Was worried it would come damaged, but it didn't, it came in great shape. Have it set on number 3 and is cooling to -3° , is very quiet , and something else is very well thought out , they put the thermostat behind the freezer in the compressor compartment, so it takes no space from inside the freezer ! The door seems to seal good because there is hardly any frost inside, however. It is inside my rv in a good air conditioned and heated area. So 5 stars so far. Will update later if I have problems. ... show more

AT first appeared to have closing/sealing issue; as others stated in their review. Then leveled and closed tightly with Velcro wrapped around. After unit cooled, the contraction sealed it perfectly. Velcro not needed, but kept it anyway. Just what I needed for a little extra freezer space. So quiet don't know it's there. Thus, see if it closes when level and cooled before return, not out of the box. ... show more

It's just the right amount of extra freezer space I needed. It's quiet and fits nicely in the available space next to the pub table in our kitchen. It needs defrosting more often than I expected.
