    • Good replacement OTR unit
Size: 1.7 Cu.ft
Replaced a dead unit with this product. Installation was simple with the enclosed template and instructions and it works fine. It's an attractive unit without any brand marking and seems to work good. It does hum louder than the Samsung unit it replaced while cooking. Doesn't have all the features and sensors of some more expensive OTR microwaves, but I don't use those anyway. The door handle appears very sturdy, which is usually the first thing to break, so I'm optimistic it will last a good while. ... show more

    • Performance on a budget
Size: 1.7 Cu.ft
I have had this appliance for a few months and it is working well. Some reviews mention that the interior light is not bright enough but it is the same as my old name brand. When comparing both side by side, I can see that the Midea has a more robust shielding pattern in the door glass with smaller holes and more solid area. I can still see through the door while operating appliance although I can see why people mention that it is darker. ... show more

    • Not a bad purchase
Size: 1.7 Cu.ft
This microwave gets the job done without draining your wallet. It’s a great size with plenty of room, and installation is refreshingly easy everything you need comes in the box (no extra trips to the hardware store ). It does run a bit louder than expected, but not enough to be annoying just noticeable. The only real downside is the vent light, which isn’t very bright, though it still gets the job done. Overall, if you want something that looks good, works well, and doesn’t cost a fortune, this is a solid pick ... show more

    • Exactly what I needed/wanted.
Size: 1.7 Cu.ft
Microwave was easy to install after I found the mounting bracket on the back of the unit. It is not mentioned in the list of parts. Jut suddenly appears in the pictures of the installation. The bracket is only slightly different from my old one, but the overhead holes are in a different place. Looks very nice with the stainless and I like the big door handle. ... show more

    • Do not purchase! Dangerous piece of engineering!

So, I purchased this Microwave almost 2 years ago. It was the noisiest microwave I’ve ever used. I did not return it because it seemed to work fine other than the strange noises and figured that the hassle of pulling it out and returning seemed too much. I just learned a lesson the hard way. The range light underneath went out. I figured that it would be easily replaced. I was wrong. If you have this DO NOT attempt to replace the bulb on your own! Even after making sure the control was “off”… I got the worst shock in my life! I attempted to unscrew the bulb and it shattered in my hand. I got cut by the glass. It was then that I realized that the bulb is actually part of a larger piece held in place by a screw that is inaccessible from the open side. When I tried to bend down the flange so that I could access the screw I got zapped! It was enough current to blow out a chunk of the pliers I was using and it felt as though I just got hit by a taser and it knocked me to the ground. Worst and most dangerous piece of engineering I’ve ever seen!!!! I am in no way a novice at repairing electrical equipment. I service tube guitar amplifiers that can be lethal for a living. I can’t begin to describe the anger I have towards the manufacturer of this piece of junk! Not even worthy of the single star on this review. ... show more

    • Exactly what I needed
Size: 1.7 Cu.ft

I replaced an old over-the-range vent/fan with this microwave. I've had it installed for several months now, and I am very happy with it. Only feature I had to adjust to is when you press the1 or 2 button it doesn't automatically begin to cook for 1 or 2 minutes. My work around that is to just press the Start button as many times as I need. Each press of the Start button is 30 seconds. So I'm actually getting used to that and don't mind it at all now. The fan is quite loud, but as it isn't an actual vent, I don't use it often. I do wish the under light was a bit brighter, but it would be a fantastic nightlight if you are someone who frequents the kitchen during the night. ... show more
