    • This kit did a fabulous job for my Moccamaster
There are two bottles of cleaning supplies in the box, one for descaling and one for cleaning the machine's innards (oil residue and build up.) The directions are CLEAR and exact, easy to follow, and the machine's tank and carafe looked like NEW when I was done. You decant the descaler liquid first in Step 1, then following directions, you will run three more tanks full of just water. Identical instructions for the cleaning fluid in Step 2, cleaning fluid, then three more tanks full of nothing but water. I actually ran four tanks in Step 2. I made a cup of freshly ground Ethiopian Sidamo coffee and it tasted GREAT. I knew it was time for a cleaning round; we all know when it's time, it's just that six to seven cycles of the coffee maker does take some commitment to the process. I had a project going on at the same time that allowed me to check on it and keep the steps going, but keep that in mind -- it's an EASY process, but can be time consuming. Don't short cut it, it's really not worth doing that. OTOH, it's REALLY worth doing all of it as directed because your coffee will taste great again. JFYI: we have a Technovorm Moccamaster model coffee maker, and it's incredible. If one can be "in love" with a machine, this would be it. It was easy to use. The descaler didn’t get quite everything, the cleaner worked really well. I have a coffee maker with the pot is silver without the heater. It took all the stain off.

    • HOW GOOD IS URNEX DESCALER?
I was told it works equally well on stainless steel urns, but it doesn't work at all an stainless steel. I wasted money trying to decalcify my urn. However, it is great on my Cuisinart coffee maker.

    • The best cleaner I have ever used!
I have tried multiple coffee maker cleaners over the years, but none have worked nearly as well as the Umex Cleaner and Descaler. A nice bonus is that the ingredients are biodegradable, odorless, and phosphate free.

    • Night and Day difference
One treatment had my coffee tasting so much more fresh. The oils that build up in coffee machines cause a very bitter taste and sour smell, so getting rid of that has made a huge difference. Really heavy descaling might take a couple uses, but using it regularly should keep it away altogether.
