  • Very efficient Dehumidifier that's easy to use!
Size: 1,500 Sq. Ft.
This dehumidifier is a true work horse! I run it most of the year as we live in a very humid climate. It has settings so the bucket doesn't get too full or heavy to dump. It keeps the humidity under control and comfortable in our Florida home.

  • Good Dehumidifier
Size: 1,500 Sq. Ft.
Great size. Works like a charm here in Central Texas. We dump it every day or two. It runs quietly. We like that we can program it to stop. Only problem is it can be very heavy to carry to dump when full. I would purchase this again.

  • Great design but compressor failed in 3 days
Size: 1,500 Sq. Ft.
I had really high hopes for this thing after seeing it highly recommended by Wirecutter. Their reviews have not steered me wrong in the past. However, the compressor completely died in less than a week. It was functioning quite slowly at first, taking a long time to get humidity down and not really capturing all that much water. After 3 days of intermittent use, the compressor gave up. Humidity was rising in our apartment as it was running. I realized it was blowing cool air and we could no longer hear the buzz of the compressor, so back to Amazon it goes. I was looking forward to the ability to monitor humidity control remotely without having to go look at the unit, but unfortunately the app is not very useful. The first troubles occurred with app linking, where for about an hour it was refusing to connect to my wifi network. Once it did, I realized this was much more a novelty than a helpful feature as the app is full of bugs (recognized as the wrong model and wouldn't display water level estimates, then once I manually changed it, it showed the estimates but still failed to update over time). There were several occassions during the few days which I was using this unit for where I launched the app and their servers appeared to be down. It would not connect to the device. Why even offer this if it's not going to work? It's a shame it's a shoddy piece of equipment. The design is quite clever. However I've switched to another brand's dehumidifier (and a "dumb" one at that with no app to avoid any extraneous tech issues), and within hours of plugging it in, it is FAR more efficient than this unit. ... show more

  • ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Best Dehumidifier for Bedroom Allergy Relief!
Size: 1,500 Sq. Ft.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Best Dehumidifier for Bedroom Allergy Relief! I can’t recommend the Midea Cube 20 Pint Dehumidifier enough! It’s been a lifesaver for my bedroom where I use it daily to fight my severe dust mite allergy. This product truly feels like it was sent from the gods. ✅ Why This Dehumidifier Stands Out: • Compact Yet Powerful: The unique cube design saves space while delivering exceptional performance for bedrooms, and small spaces. • Allergy Relief: Keeps humidity low, making it harder for dust mites, mold, and mildew to thrive. My allergy symptoms have improved dramatically since using it every day. • Smart Features: o App Notifications: I love getting alerts when it’s time to empty the tank and checking up on the room humidity level when I’m not home. o Front Display: Shows the current room humidity level —super convenient! • Large Water Capacity & Easy Drainage: The expandable tank means fewer trips to empty. I haven’t tried the continuous emptying mode but have found no issues with emptying the tank every few days. • Noise Level: It may be loud for some, but I think of it as soothing white noise. The slight hum is worth it for how effective this unit is. • Energy Efficient: Energy Star certified, so it saves on electricity while improving air quality. • After One Month of Use: I’ve been using this dehumidifier for a month now, and it works perfectly so far. One thing to note: the water tank can get heavy when full. To make it easier, I recommend adjusting your settings so the unit stops dehumidifying when the tank reaches a certain level. This way, you can empty the water while it’s still relatively easy to handle. If you need a smart, reliable, and powerful dehumidifier for basement, bedroom, and especially allergy control, this is the one to get. Perfect for dust mite prevention, mold control, and improving indoor air quality. It’s truly a life-saver! ... show more

  • Full-featured, reliable, energy-efficient compressor dehumidifier
Size: 1,500 Sq. Ft.
I have used this dehumidifier for over a year and a half, both in my 800 sq. ft. cabin and in my 144 sq. ft. unheated storage shed. It has been effective and reliable, even in temperatures below 50 degrees F. It's a good fit for my cabin, but it's overpowered for my storage shed, causing it to cycle frequently. Because I use it in an unheated space, I appreciate the automatic defrost (the compressor stops and the fan keeps running to let the room air defrost the evaporator, consuming 20W). It would be nice if there were an indication that it is in defrost mode (other than the fan running without the compressor). Like almost every other dehumidifier, it doesn't work well below about 45 degrees F, and not at all below freezing. It would be nice if it didn't even try to run below about 35 degrees; I have to use a smart plug with my home automation system to shut off power to it when the temperature gets that cold. Because I use it when I am away, often for months at a time, I appreciate the continuous drain function (also protects it from damage due to freezing of accumulated water), the auto-start, and the remote monitoring and management using the Smart Home app. It would be even better if it were a Matter-compatible device, and if it reported temperature as well as humidity, but still it is a unit that keeps protecting my space indefinitely while I'm away. In the low temperatures and humidities where I use this dehumidifier, it of course does not remove the rated (at standard conditions of 86°F, 80% RH) 20 pints/day, and is not nearly as efficient at removing water as it would be at higher temperatures and humidities. In my small storage shed with vapor barrier, there is not that much to remove anyway, so I appreciate being able to set the humidity level and having the unit shut off when it reaches the desired level. At a setting of 55% humidity and temperatures ranging mostly from 40 to 60, averaged over 19 days, it removed 76 cups of water and used 41.7 KWh of electricity. That's 0.55 KWh/cup, 4.0 cups/day, 2.22 KWh/day. Even at temperatures as low as 40 degrees, it was able to keep the humidity below 60% in this small space, which is at 70-80% without it running. It would reduce humidity below 50% most of the time if I set it that low, at the cost of higher energy consumption. Like other compressor dehumidifiers, it's pretty loud -- not something I'd care to have running in the same otherwise-quiet room with me on a regular basis. It's also pretty heavy to carry up and down stairs. For my storage space, I'd like to find a unit like this with a quarter to half the capacity, but it seems like units in that range are Peltier/thermoelectric or dessicant types that are not as energy-efficient and lack crucial features like auto-defrost or auto-start. Overall, this is a well-made, full-featured, reliable, and energy-efficient unit that works well for bigger rooms and smaller houses or cabins, even if they are unoccupied for long periods, even in cool temperatures. I recommend it. ... show more

Size: 1,500 Sq. Ft.
I have had this dehumidifier for 35 days and it's been working great I have it in my bedroom and it doesn't take long to get the humidity from 65 to a safe level and emptying out the bucket is a breeze. I have a 150 square foot bedroom. The noise leve is not that bad about the level of a AC unit or fan. ... show more

  • Works great, but buy the right size.
Size: 1,500 Sq. Ft.
Works great but I wish I would have got a much larger size. Far to late to exchange as I write this.. But It can reach a target humidity level slowly but eventually turns off, then it's back on again in 5 minutes. The bucket would fill daily so it's definitely doing work.

  • Excellent Performance, Smart Features, and a Great Design - A Must-Have for Any Humid Space
Size: 1,500 Sq. Ft.
I've been using the Midea Cube 20 Pint Dehumidifier for about a month now, and it has completely transformed my basement. Living in a humid climate, my basement was always a little musty, and I worried about mold and mildew. This dehumidifier has not only solved that problem but has also made the space feel much more comfortable. The first thing that impressed me was the design. The "Cube" concept is brilliant. Unlike traditional bulky dehumidifiers, this one is sleek and unobtrusive. The ability to stack the water bucket inside the unit when not in use is a game-changer for saving space, especially in a smaller room or during the drier months. Performance-wise, it's a powerhouse. It quickly brought the humidity level in my roughly 1,200 sq. ft. basement down to a comfortable 45-50% and maintains it effortlessly. The 20-pint capacity is perfect for this size space, and the ENERGY STAR certification is a welcome bonus, as I've seen a minimal impact on my electricity bill. What truly sets this unit apart are the smart features. The smart control is fantastic. I can monitor the humidity level and adjust settings from my phone, which is incredibly convenient. The Alexa compatibility is the icing on the cake. I love being able to say, "Alexa, turn on the basement dehumidifier," and have it spring to life. The continuous drain hose is another huge plus. I have it hooked up to a floor drain, so I never have to worry about emptying the bucket, it's a true "set it and forget it" experience. The unit is also surprisingly quiet. While you can hear it running, it's a low, consistent hum that fades into the background. It's much quieter than other dehumidifiers I've owned in the past. Overall, I can't recommend the Midea Cube 20 Pint Dehumidifier enough. It's a well-designed, efficient, and smart appliance that delivers on all its promises. If you're looking for a dehumidifier for your basement or any other large, humid space, this is an excellent investment that you won't regret. It's a 5-star product in every sense of the word. ... show more
