It's been 3 months so far, and it's been a great little freezer. We bought it to handle overflow from the big fridge when we buy in bulk, run into good sales, etc..... Delivery was great. I was really scared that they'd just drop it off the back, etc...., but they brought it covered, on a hand dolly, all belted in. No damage to the box, and more importantly, no damage to the fridge. The color is a standard black and streamlined in design. It simply looks like a midsized box or a modern cabinet a bit. The size is perfect, big enough to handle a multiple ice cream cartons, a few big flats of chicken, beef, ribs, etc... Also a couple of bags/boxes of fries, frozen vegetables, etc... I'm 6' tall, and it's about waist high, I put it on a little platform so it would be easier to reach the bottom basket/shelf. Noise isn't bad, just a little hum sometimes, not enough to be distracting. Cooling is ok, my fridge's freezer seems to get a little colder, but I haven't noticed anything bad like melting ice cream, etc.... It's freezing things well. It has a little turn lock at the bottom, it works, but I never use it. It's in an annoying spot, and I just don't have a need. It's not a standard key, but a hex type. You could probably use a standard hex key to get in if you ever lost the real one. Will update if anything bad happens. :).

I bought it a little over 2 months ago & it's so worth the buy. It came in perfect condition. It fits everything I needed it for. I plugged it a few hours after unboxing, threw a popsicle in it and it froze it by an hr or 2. I have it set at the middle setting. It does make a humming noise but nothing over bearing. I placed it on top of my refrigerator at a small angle. The legs (knobs) in the front are adjustable. I have very little frost. Nothing that needs scrapping. Also the lock & key works perfectly. Update - it's been a year & today 9/11/2025 is the day I finally had to defrost it (only bc the ice started going up into the door way). Its been working great since I got it. Its not loud or anything. I love it. It definitely helps out since my family grew & I needed more freezer space.

We wanted to buy a freezer to be able to freeze and store more food than we could store in our refrigerator freezer in our kitchen. I was opposed to a chest freezer because I didn’t like the idea of bending over and digging through items stacked on top of each other. A full sized freezer wasn’t really an option either because we really didn’t have the space. This freezer wasn’t the perfect solution. It’s big enough for our needs and the perfect size for the space we had to put it. It works fine and is quiet. We’re very pleased with it.

I was looking for an affordable compact freezer for some food storage in the garage, and this freezer fit the bill. I gotta rate it 4 stars based on a few minor complaints. Firstly I'm not a fan of the temperature control being on the bottom rear of the freezer. Requires me to pull it out to adjust the control. Kind of inconvenient so I cranked it to max and don't plan to adjust it any further. Secondly, and I hope this isn't a bad sign, it's not "whisper quiet" as advertised. It does make a humming/whistling noise and sometimes burbles. It appears to be working great but I am a little worried. Lastly, this thing has a TON of space in the interior, but only 2 shelves and a drawer. Results in perilous stacking of numerous pounds of ground beef, steaks, etc, on top of each other. I think it could have done with one more shelf in the middle. I might try to make something to make stacking easier. So my final thoughts, that don't affect my rating of the product but are worth considering when you make this purchase. The other reviewers have stated their product arrived dented. I would tell you, as a buyer, that the packaging of this freezer does indeed leave the freezer vulnerable to dents. My own freezer had a few inexplicable dents, but I simply let it sit upright for a few hours before plugging it in and it chilled right up. The thing might not look the best but it's clearly tough as nails. And don't forget that you can file a claim with the shipping company if it does get busted in shipment, so the risk is minimal. And lastly I want to say that this thing was extremely affordable when I needed one the most. It works extremely well. What more could I have asked for? If you pick one of these up for garage food storage, I truthfully don't think you'll regret it.

I did a lot of research before purchasing and I want to thank all those who posted about their experience with this particular freezer. Those reviews help me to decide to give this one a try and I am so glad I did. It really does hold a lot of food and helps me with not over loading my main Freezer. I needed that extra to hold my meats mostly so I did not have to stop purchasing foods I wanted to purchase because I did not have anymore freezer space and this purchase really helped me out with that issue. I listen to the suggestions and warnings about what to do and not do and it made my process so much easier when I started to question certain thinks like why is the side warm and how long to let it sit before putting my food in it and all of that helped me so much. I let my freezer sit for 1 1/2 day just to be sure and then I put some water in it to test it out for freezing and it was a beautiful thing! Love, love love it. If you are on the fence as I was, get off and purchase it as it is a real good deal from Amazon. And I love that I was able to choose Affirm to ease the pain of getting it right now to use instead of having to save up for awhile. Thanks Amazon and Thanks Affirm!

I finally bit the bullet, removed my old dishwasher that died from disuse, and replaced it with this Midea freezer! It's so nice to have extra freezer space. The freezer arrived well packaged and in great shape. It was light enough for me to move it into place by myself. I set the desired temperature (knob on the back), plugged it in, and it was ready to go! It has 2 shelves and a wire basket at the bottom. It holds more than half of what my fridge freezer holds, so really quite a bit. It runs quietly and keeps everything nice and frozen. I don't have the recommended 4 inches of space around all sides, but I've put my hand behind the freezer several times and it's not getting hot at all. So far, I love it!

I have used this freezer for almost 3 months, and love it! It is just the right size for our needs, and arrived, in original factory packaging with only a small dent that was barely worthy of comment. I have added a few plastic dishpans to the shelves to help organize the freezer, and they work quite well. No need to defrost, so far. Organizing the contents is something I am working on never having owned such a large freezer before. 07.06.2019 Update after 2 years of ownership: I defrost it on an annual basis, and did so today. It is quick (use a fan) but a bit messy. I suppose if I did it more often it might be easier, but it really does not accumulate much frost. I would buy it again in a minute. 10.11.2020 Year three of ownership update: I need to defrost it soon, a bit lazy this summer, but this freezer is still working fine. It was our only freezer for many months until I purchased a new side-by-side fridge for my kitchen, the only size that could make it into our limited kitchen space. It is still an important part of our kitchen, and in daily use. 12.17.2023 Year 6 of ownership: Still works fine, but I also hate having to defrost it. Still well worth owning. It has done a fine job for us. It is in our pantry adjacent to the kitchen and has our 2nd small fridge that has been carefully placed on top of it, with sufficient air space in between. I only wish it were larger and frost-free, but realize this is not possible for a freezer at this price.
