For the money, this powerful little unit really works well. I use it to boost the cooling on the second floor of a cape cod style home with no attic above the ceiling. This space is typically 10-12 degrees warmer than the first floor with central AC running, but with this unit I can cut that down to a 4-5 degree difference ... show more

The only downside is an mid-level buzzing sound from the compressor. It is expected and not overly irritating. It works for a college dorm room and my child said the sound is not intrusive and drowns out the ambient noise while sleeping.

User’s manual not helpful and kind of random. Will not cool down a hot (100F and above) room, but will keep it cool enough to be tolerable if turned on before it gets that hot.

The item arrived in a beat up box. The unit was completely damaged from the cut on power cord to a bent wheel underneath it. Also, it was dirty. I can’t believe Amazon sent this to me. Side note, the unit is loud.

This is the second portable air conditioner that I have bought. Different brand. Gotvthe size for 150 sq. Ft room. Which is perfect. Assembly was easy, about 15 minutes with reading the directions. It cools my room very well but it's very very noisy. The noise is a big downside. The controls on both the unit and the remote control are basically straight forward. It's not to loud but loud enough that I cover it with pillows when I sleep. It's cold and cools my room easily in the az desert. With alot of monitors heating up the room. The remote you have to face it perfectly at the top or it will not work
