(Color: Charcoal) These chairs have an upscale, modern look. When not sitting on the chair, I do think these are back heavy leading to them falling backwards more easily than my previous chairs; but I wouldn't return them for this. They were packed 2 chairs per box and were somewhat simple to assemble. The feet are in the zippered compartment under the seat. My suggestion if you purchase these - Have a level tool and check that the legs all touch the ground properly before tightening everything down. I didn't do this and noticed the top of the backrest on a couple were croocked just enogh to annoy me. After about a week of family (of 6) use, the backrests and legs loosened up and you could move/shift these side to side. I used the level tool, measured the width of the legs (so they were all symmetrical) and tightened all the bolts down again. The padding is thick (see picture with 10oz coffee mug) and comfortable to sit on. The padding isn't super firm, and not super soft (My mom did comment that she "sunk-in" a little when she sat on them, but still found them comfortable). I took 2 sets of pictures: some at night with kitchen lighting low and high (marked with ablue "x"), and some during the day. Bottom line - I really like them! ... show more
