NOTE that it has the old school wire hook up with the 3 color plugs (yellow, white and red) it does NOT plug into a HDMI smart flat TV.     • This thing sucks
Ever since I got this thing it’s been a source of frustration. It picks and chooses what games it allows me to play. Whenever I put a disk in it won’t read it, it’ll say open tray as of there isn’t even a dick inside. I have to open and close the tray 5+ times to get it to work. Sometimes it doesn’t. Some games it won’t play at all. I have a feeling that whoever inspected this thing before resale just looked it over and said “looks fine to me” and pushed it down the line. Package was professionally wrapped. Best wrapped package I have received in a very long time. I hooked up unit and it worked very well. The detachable hard drive even had some games on it. HDMI cable was provided which was nice. I was very impressed overall.

    • Disc tray and power cord
The media could not be loaded. The disc tray after the second day playing on the Xbox would get stuck and wouldn’t open I started messing around with it then it finally opened and then the power cord if you move it slightly or even gently touch it, the Xbox gives me the ring of death and I have to turn it off, unplug the power cord plug it back into the Xbox and the Xbox after you put in a game is loud, not extremely but decently besides that it’s good so far ... show more

    • Amazing, for a refurb of a very old console
I was apprehensive about getting a refurb of such an old console, but I specifically needed nothing more exotic than a 360. The set from Retrorefresh arrived quickly and well-packaged, and was complete. Most of the pieces could have passed for new or almost new. Unfortunately, the console itself had a ding in the corner, probably suffered during packing or shipping. The unit would not boot up. I emailed Dan at Retrorefresh, as instructed on the card that came with the unit. He immediately offered to send me another unit. The new set arrived about four days later, and was just as nice as the first. It booted up easily, and after updating the firmware, I was able to use the unit just fine. I boxed up the defective unit using the original packaging materials and sent it back to them immediately. Two things impressed me about Retrofresh: The components had been well cleaned and packaged (unlike some of the horror stories that one hears about refurb products); and Dan's quick, no-questions-asked response when I reported a problem. I would think if you were buying a full price refurbished console it would be clean. It was very dirty I had to take it to geek squad and have it cleaned. Otherwise the item works and everything was there.

Arrived on time, no scratches or other markings on it. Everything was nicely packaged.

    • I had to throw it away because it Overheated and didn't turned back on
The first day it overheated after 1 hour of playing. Had to wait to play again. This went on all day. The second day it wouldn't turn back on. I had to break it to get my disk out so I couldn't return it. Waste of money and time.
