It's been a while since I purchased a microscope especially in kit form but I appreciate the completeness of this Microscope kit. Protective zippered storage case is foam lined and allows everything "microscope" related to be located in one place. I received premade sample slides of things like spores, bacteria even a honey bee wing so exploring tiny things can begin the moment you receive the microscope. Build Quality-the microscopes frame is made of metal, coated white and well designed. Very modern high tech look. The adjustments are very intuitive and found within fingers reach of where my hands naturally rested. That was the best feeling. The light brightness adjustment is on the right side base. The light ON/OFF switch is on the left base of the microscope. Just above those controls you can access the focus control with either hand because of the two large rotatable knobs. I found the microscope very easy to set up and operate. Selectable microscope power has three positions and the kit includes 6 eyepiece lenses of various power ratings make this microscope very versatile, you can even look at thousands of red blood cells and other cool things that you can't see with the naked eye. *Remember to always begin on the low power combination and work your way up to keep what you are looking at in the frame. Things change when magnified 2000 times. It really does include everything you'll need, brand new clear slides and cover slips, disection tools, pins, alcohol, tweezers, owners manual that is easy to read and understand, USB power cord with the adapter and there is a battery compartment that holds 3 AA batteries to go completely wireless. I actually haven't gone through everything included there is a lot. I like the color and solid metal frame. The microscope is very stable by design, it doesn't want to tip over it just feels like quality. Very smooth operation of focus and other adjustment. Completely adjustable brightness from none to super bright and everywhere in between. Great hard soft case for transportation and storage of all your microscope related tools and accessories. Very competitive price and good value here on Amazon. 5 Stars I am very happy I ordered the microscope.

I bought this microscope to give my 11-year-old nephew something fun and educational for us to explore together, and it has turned out even better than I hoped. He’s really into science, and watching his curiosity come alive with this microscope has been the best part of the whole experience. The magnification range is great — the multiple eyepieces and objective lenses let us zoom in from 40x all the way up to 2000x, and the images stay surprisingly clear. The dual LED light sources make a big difference too, since we can look at all kinds of samples in different lighting. It’s easy enough for him to use, but still feels like a “real” scientific tool, not a toy. The fine and coarse focus controls work smoothly, which makes it simple to get sharp images even when we’re looking at tiny details. We’ve already had fun examining leaves, pond water, hair, and some of the prepared slides that came with it. Overall, this has been a fantastic purchase. My nephew absolutely loves it, and I’ve enjoyed it just as much — especially seeing how excited he gets while discovering a whole new world under the lenses. Highly recommend for young scientists and anyone who loves exploring together.

Got this compound microscope as a birthday gift for our 12-year-old and it’s been a hit. The included slides got us started right away, and the accessories made it easy to create our own slides too - we’ve spent hours exploring. The WF10x and WF25x eyepieces give a nice range for both quick scans and closer looks. Build quality feels solid and I expect it to hold up for years of exploration. Two notes: the manual is a bit weak, so we had to figure out some steps ourselves, and a few small items arrived broken in transit. The core unit was fine, though, and everything else worked once we sorted it out. Bottom line: terrific hands-on science gift with real learning value. Strong, fun, and engaging - with a better manual and sturdier accessory packaging it would be perfect. 4/5.

I love this little microscope! As a middle school science teacher with access to microscopes that are larger and much more expensive, this kit is a steal at $80! The fact that it is a dual compound and stereo microscope that’s both bottom-lit and top-lit is even better (my school microscopes are compound so you can’t view anything opaque since there’s no top light). This is a huge plus. The quality of the images aren’t quite as good as my school scopes, but the difference really isn’t enough to justify such a huge difference in price. It comes with a phone mount that my iPhone lined up nicely in for pictures. The included photo was taken while using the top light so I could view a chunk of my husky’s undercoat fur (11 year old son’s idea 😄). It also comes with a small case of pre-made slides and a box of blank slides to make your own. There are several more tools included as well as multiple eye pieces for different magnifications. Finally, it came packaged beautifully and safely. I would feel really good about giving this as a gift. The included soft case with zipper closure is plush inside, keeping the microscope safe and sound. The attached handle makes it easy to carry, and all accessories fit neatly inside. If you’re on the fence about tit, don’t be! I wasn’t expecting much for $79.99 ($99.99 minus a $20 off coupon), especially since I have daily access to much more expensive microscopes in my science lab, but I have been very pleasantly surprised!
