  • Fun gift
Style: SW380T
I bought this as a gift for my husband. He loves it! He’s been trying to find things to look at. It’s not as big as professional/college level microscopes, but it functions the same, is great for the home scientist who’s looking for germs and microscopic movement! Picture quality is good once you find what you’re looking for on the slide. It takes practice, but we’ve enjoyed looking at different things with it. ... show more

  • Great Microscope Overall, But 100X Objective Has a Smudge Issue
Style: SW350T-EC5R-5PBC
The media could not be loaded. I’ve been enjoying this SW350T trinocular microscope so far — it’s solid, well-built, and most of the objectives give a clear image. However, the 100X objective seems to have a persistent issue. There are smudges or stains visible in the background when viewing through it. I’ve already tried cleaning the eyepieces, the condenser, and even checked the glass slide and cover slip, but the issue remains. It seems to be something with the 100X objective itself. Other than that, everything else works great, and the image quality at 4X, 10X, and 40X is very good. It’s just disappointing that the 100X has this flaw, especially since that’s a key part of what makes this microscope complete. ... show more

  • Amazing microscope, totally worth the price
Style: SW380T
I just got this microscope yesterday, and it far exceeded my expectations. The controls are easy to learn, the fine focus makes a huge difference in getting perfect shots, etc. It's very sturdy, made with high quality materials, the LED is extremely bright so you can see practically every specimen you want to, and it's the perfect size for a microscope. Overall 10/10 microscope, completely worth the money. ... show more

  • BEWARE!!! BROKEN PRODUCT
Style: SW380T
The media could not be loaded. I had purchased this microscope at the beginning of December and waited quite a while to receive it. I had purchased a new microscope, and once I had received it, it turned out that it may have been a used one or one that had been returned previously, having dents and metal shaving in the objectives and binoculars. I returned the item with no fuss, and have just received a new one. HOWEVER, this one is EVEN MORE BROKEN THAN THE LAST ONE. The vertical slide adjustment has a knocking noise within it, and does not allow for any fine adjustment around the 20mm range. The fine focuser swivels but does not move the slide, and once you reach 20mm it has an internal knocking noise which shakes the whole microscope and the focus drops way out of range. The reason it shakes is because something within the fine focusing knob is broken and is causing the slide to get STUCK and then FALL causing the slide to crash down. This is a MASSIVE PROBLEM so I went to go return and get it replaced for a SECOND time. Hoping that the 3rd microscope I get would be working and would not have any metal shards and shaving in the objectives like the first one had, including being dented. Or like the second one with broken mechanical parts. TURNS OUT I am UNABLE to return the microscope. I can only refund it. I DO NOT WANT A REFUND. I WANT A WORKING MICROSCOPE REPLACEMENT. This company is a joke DO NOT PURCHASE THIS MICROSCOPE. Unless you are willing to take a MASSIVE RISK. With the microscope being PROBABLY BROKEN and then NOT BEING ABLE TO GET A REPLACEMENT. NOT A GOOD PRODUCT. 0 STARS ... show more

  • Really really nice microscope
Style: SW380T
Bought this microscope for my home schooling 8 year old granddaughter. I spent much of my career sitting in front of a microscope so I know a good microscope from a cheap one. This one is really nice. It has no design flaws that I have been able to notice. The resolution of the optics is quite good...much better than I was expecting. We have not yet used the 100x oil objective so I cannot comment on that one, but the other three are excellent quality optics and both the 10x and 25x objectives are good. The stage moves smoothly and the light is strong enough to get good visualization. The trinocular allows for a camera but also allows her and I to view the slides together and discuss them. My granddaughter loves it and is learning the joys of seeing the hidden details of her world. We wanted to get her a microscope that would last her through her college years and I believe we have accomplished that with this particular instrument. I would highly recommend it! Only downside (which is ridiculously minor) was the thin little plastic cover is totally inadequate, way to small to accomplish its purpose. We ended up buying a KitchenAid mixer cover for less than $20 which fits it nicely and provides good protection to keep it clean and dust free. ... show more
