The herb stripper works pretty great. The dry leafy herbs, such as basil, did not come out the grinder. I tried several times according to directions and it does not work. Very disappointed.

    • Flawed Design - Will not Grate Cilantro

There is a flaw in this design that makes it almost unusable. I tried using it to grate fresh cilantro and because how this product is designed, it all got mushed/caught by the press hammer and it would not let the Leaf Pin get in place which moves the grating knives and provides the cutting mechanism. In order for it to work you have to very carefully place single cilantro leaves on a pattern that does not interfere with the pestle pin or else you just end up squashing the herbs inside. There is another version of this greater that works great, but this one got a re-design that makes it unusasble. ... show more
