I’m really happy with the Cool Knight herb grinder so far. I just purchased it, so I haven’t had it long enough to comment on long term durability, but my first impressions have been excellent. The fit is good, and the grinder feels like the pieces come together securely without feeling loose. The power is impressive and it performs smoothly and efficiently without requiring much effort. I also haven’t experienced any significant clogging during use, which makes the whole process much less frustrating. It’s easy to use and has made grinding much more convenient. I’ve genuinely been enjoying using it because it saves time and does the job efficiently. The build also feels solid, so I’m optimistic about its durability with continued use.     • Processes well and quickly. Perfect for small batches.
Wonderful little chopper - This chopper handles my backyard herbs and after I dry them turns them into a fine and very consistent product I can use. I am currently doing rosemary. I take the newer stems and dry them and then strip the leaves and process them in this. Takes about 20 seconds. My kids love the flavor of rosemary, but not the poky leaves, so this lets me use it in more dishes. If you are looking for something for large batches of big leaves, this is not it. But for small batches of stuff that your big processor cant cut because it is too small, this is perfect. ... show more

    • Does the job beautifully
I've been using this grinder for 2.5 yrs. It only just conked out on me. I was grinding chickpeas. Motor died. I just ordered a new one. Price went up but I've had fun grinding cumin seeds and others into powder form. I also used it to make powder parmesian cheese. I recommend it. Would've had it a lot longer had I not put too many chickpea seeds in at once today. 4 stars because the cord is kind of a pain because it's not attached. Overall though I would recommend it. Update: So, turns out I didn't kill the motor with those chickpeas after all. The motor stopped to cool down to avoid burning out. Way cooler than I already thought this machine was. This electric grinder works quickly and holds a good amount at one time. I use it to grind herbs, and spices. You could easily grind coffee as well. The grinder feels sturdy and well-made. Overall, a great purchase that works as expected.

I tested it the moment it came in. The product is very easy to learn how to use and maintain— I didn’t have to look at the instruction sheet at all. I use a v60 to make pour-over coffee, so I don’t have a traditional coffee making machine or grinder. I only make servings for one or two people in the morning, so the amount of beans you can grind in one go is perfect for the water-bean ratio I’m using. I also like that I can easily control the grind particles. A pre-setting would be nice because having coffee that’s too coarse or too fine can cause problems in the extraction method (too coarse: sour, acidic— too fine: bitter, tasteless). If you’re using this to grind coffee beans like me, just keep an eye on the quality of grind through the viewing window at the top of the product. I think beginners can use this, but if you really want control (pre-settings) then there are other products. Coffee-making is a science so if you’re very particular about coffee, this can either work extremely well for you or just eye your batches carefully. As for herbs, I have yet to try this on the rosemary and other herbs I’m harvesting from my garden this year. I would really like to throw my peppers in there. But based on the coffee test, I would say it’s a perfect product for herb grinding. As a bonus, it fits well on any countertop. I got the wood style grinder and like how it looks. Product care is very easy. Just don’t submerge it in water, lol. ... show more

    • Great grinder, Terrible plug
We had a glass version of this for over six months and loved it. An unfortunate event caused the glass to break (all our fault) causing us to want to get a new one. I really liked the color of this grinder so I just got it. Upon first use I found that it was not a battery operated grinder but a plug in. No biggie, just a minor turn off and my fault for not checking before buying. First go, didn’t work. Weird, everything looked good but noticed the plug to the grinder was loose and fell out. This thing hardly stays in at all but when you do get it to stay, this thing works beautifully. No clogging yet and you easily get out the herb “dust” with the brush they provide. I would not buy this again due to the plug, but works well enough I don’t care to return it. ... show more
