I read the reviews before I ordered this chair and they all said the foot rest didn’t work well. I was desperate because I was having knee surgery in a few days and everyone I talked to you (at the last minute) said to get a recliner. I saw it and took a chance since the price was really good. It came and the reviews for all right correct. You cannot put the foot rest down while reclining or even sitting in the chair. You have to straddle to get out of it and then my husband had to bang it closed with a lot of effort. I’ve gotten so used to it now but tonight I heard a clicking sound and we found two large screws that popped out on the bottom, I’m not even sure where they go. It looks nice, but it is not function well at all. ... show more

I'm 5 ft and this chair is great for me. Only problem is hard to lock foot rest in place when you get up. But other then that it is great chair.

Before I received my chair on July 2nd,2012,this Glider Recliner was called a Rocker Recliner. I did not want a Glider Recliner so I tried to return it,because it was the wrong item. The seller said I could return it but I had to pay the return shipping cost.The chair cost me $286.00 and the return shipping would cost me over $200.00. Amazon would not do anything to get the seller to reimburse me.I will not buy anything from this seller again. ... show more
