this is .....strong but great. never had professional microderm done but i dont have to. i have been using this for the last 3-4 years and this was my second purchase in 3-4years. it's tough on the skin so if you have sensitive or very sensitive skin. use at your own risk. my skin is not as sensitive and i will use this 1-3 times a week based on my skin condition. helps resurface skin and remove a lot of dead skin, wrinkles, milia, and more. definitely lightens skin because it helps remove the dark spots removing the dead skin cells over time. this is not fast results . it is maintenance and long term results. i used it weekly for 6 months straight and saw restulst around the 2.5-3 month mark. eventually i did it once a month, then once every 2 months. now every quarter or sooner.

So I was a little skeptical about this product's claims. I received it yesterday and tried it out and was amazed. I could tell a difference right away. I started with the diamond head and then switched to the pore cleaner and increased the suction. It really cleaned out my pores! The instructions are not the easiest to understand, probably because this is the first time I have ever used a product like this and am not familiar with it, but it was easy to use once I got the hang of it. I did not get any busing or have any bad reactions to the product. Other than my face feeling really clean and soft, I did not notice any huge difference until this morning, my face looks clearer, and the better than it has in a long time. I have been struggling lately with breakouts and other skin problems. It has gotten so bad that I don't even want to leave the house. It is like I am going through a second puberty! I am on hormone replacement therapy but it is not helping my skin at all. I bought this in hopes that it will help to control the breakouts. I noticed a huge difference in just one use! Some of the dark spots from previous breakouts are lighter, not gone, but noticeably lighter. My pores appear smaller and some of the areas that showed signs of new breakouts are gone. I had several places that are now smaller and show signs of healing. I found this product on one of the daily deals for Christmas, so it was an impulse buy and I have a feeling that it is going to turn out to be a great investment! I intend to use the pore cleaner regularly as part of my skin care regiment so I will soon see if I continue to get good results. But so far I am really impressed. I also bought the face steamer and used it before I used the suction tool because I saw in the reviews where it helped get the maximum results from the tool. I will update more if things change.

So I got this because I have problems with blackheads on my nose. I try and squeeze them out and wash my face multiple times a day. That helps; but some are still always there. After I got this kit, I washed and dried my face and did low setting on microdermabrasion. I guess it worked okay. My face felt smoother afterwards. However, I didn't see a lot of dead skin on filter or in the tip. Then I stood for a couple minutes in a hot shower and washed my face again. After I got out, I took a rag and put very hot water on it. Then let it sit on my face for a minute to open the pores more. Then I used the small suction device on my nose on high setting. After going over it once, there was definitely goop in the tip from my pores. Squeezed my nose with my fingers like I normally do and more came out. Then ran suction over it a second time on high and did a different direction and the first time. Even a little bit more came out. Results: So my face was red and smoother, I guess the microdermabrasion worked. (I've never been to an actual day spa to have it done so I don't have anything to compare it to). It's definitely the most unclogged I've ever seen my nose. Looking forward to what results I'll see after a couple times of use. So if you're looking for something to unclog pores, I think this should work for you. Check out the pic.

I'm not sure why I thought I needed this tool or treatment in the first place. Thankfully I DO have "optional makeup skin", I always have and at 60 still do. I was so lucky to never need or use any foundation or skin prep (except I've always used blush)for any reason except for using early-on products for moisturizing like Oil of Olay and Avon products in my early in my 20's because I began selling it and liked the idea of using them. Evan as a teen and still, I probably had 4 pimples...so lucky! I've come across so many reviews with microdermabrasion and not really knowing after seeing all the gross pics of this particular product of gunk and dead skin or whatever else they scraped off or sucked out. I thot maybe I too needed to be doing this, so I purchased it. HUGE mistake!! I was extremely careful and my first use was only with the sucktion. After, the filter pad still looked new, I thot the next time I'd use the metal tip and possibly remove any dead skin or plugged pores with it on low speed. I was exceptionally careful, totally followed the instructions and then got a little freaked at the amount of suction. I noticed some places on my face that had gotten red during but I had read that was going to happen regardless. When I finished again, the filter pad thing still looked new as well as the attachment itself. After gently washing my face all of a sudden I had large areas that were burgundy red stripes the size of the suction tip and both my cheeks looked just like i'd broken all the veins underneath my skin. OK, I'd read some redness might be visible, but a week went by and my face still looked like I'd been beaten up! Even my blush didn't cover it and I even tho I don't use foundation I had a bottle of BB cream hanging around and that was no help at all. A week seemed unimaginable to wait for the marks and scrambled looking veins to heal and go away and was really really concerned...really really! Thankfully within ten days most of the damage was beginning to heal. Let me tell you, if you don't have skin that's roughed up and has some toughened up spots from acne, or plugged pores along with other skin conditions, don't use this tool. Apparently I don't have plugged pores or old dead skin that needs to be removed or resurfaced. Please be wary and very careful with your face bcuz damage like I experienced is impossible to cover over.
