    • Fits a King Bed, but is too short for a Cal King, even though it says it does. Very Heavy.

I've used it without heat, and heated to #5 and down to #2. It keeps me warm, and helps me sleep deeply, when the window beside my bed makes the room so cold the heater can't keep up (ducting fault in design, put by door not window). I've tried other electric blankets and their wiring is so far apart you can feel the cold between them. This one is toasty and very heavy. It would not work if you want something light weight. Best I've ever had. After a week of use with heating it, I would warn folks that it the timer only works up to 9.5 hours; the setting above it is 1.0 and goes to 1.2, and it will turn off then. Also, do the warmth setting last, as messing with the timer without checking the warmth resulted in getting toasted at level 8 instead of the 5 I set it at, and I had to turn it down and stick arms and legs out from under the covers until it cooled down (an hour or more in the middle of the night). It is also only King sized and is about 6 inches to short for a Cal King, so needs extra fabric sewn on to be able to tuck it in and keep your feet warm when you dangle them over the foot of the bed (which you need to do as it is so heavy). ... show more

    • Best Electric Blanket So Far!

Have only had this blanket for less than a week, but, so far, it works fine. It is a very thick and very warm blanket on its own. So warm, in fact, that I only turn it on for a short while before going to bed to heat it up a bit and then have to turn it off because, otherwise, I get too hot! Very nice satin edging at the top too, and the entire blanket is attractive since the wires really don't show up AT ALL. This is definitely nicer than any other blanket out there made by Sunbeam (of which I've owned several - and they NEVER last!) or other manufacturers which all seem to be using that thin, velvety, polyester material for their blankets where you can easily see and FEEL the wires. I really like that the controls DON'T stay lit up because they don't keep me awake with extra unnecessary light like the other blanket controls do. All in all, I LOVE this blanket. If it ends up not lasting, I'll edit the review, but since this blanket comes with a 5 YEAR WARRANTY for heaven's sake, I don't see that ever happening. *fingers crossed* ... show more

The blanket fit my cal-king bed quite well. But the controls require 2 plugs which I thought was odd. And the controls do not stay lighted while you sleep which makes them difficult to find in the dark. The set up for the controls is not ideal, one button for on and off, arrows for high and lower, and another set of arrows for the duration of time you want the blanket on. They are not easy to use if you need to adjust the temp during the night. The blanket by itself is very warm and I can often sleep without turning it on. ... show more

Blanket is the best I've ever had. Warm. Seems to be well made. The worst controls I have ever had. Lcd display not lit. Can't see it to adjust at night. Easy to misread if you're not looking straight on it.

Love the weight and thickness of this blanket. Also that you can’t feel the coils is a plus. It holds the heat long after the blanket is turned off so if you need warmth, this is the perfect blanket.

I’ve had mine for about a year or two and I absolutely love it!!! It keeps me warm and comfy, I totally recommend this and I will be buying another. I was very apprehensive about washing it because it being a heated blanket, I washed it in the delicate cycle with cold water and very little fabric softener and detergent.
