The 7800X3D has to be one of the best CPUs ever made. Excellent gaming performance and relatively low power consumption. For the motherboard, the Asus Strix B650E-F, it's regrettable that it doesn't support m.2 SATA SSDs. EXPO doesn't work flawlessly, but with some tweaking it works great.

Straight forward installation into a full size ATX case. I like the camlocks for the MD.2 SSD blades. Easy to follow instructions. The only thing I did not like is the shipper said that it was left inside. Package was left outside in the rain where it got soaked. The MB/CPU combo, in the box, left the seller sealed in plastic. No water damage and everything was fine. 5 stars to the seller.

Purchased this combo as the heart of my new gaming PC build and have zero complaints. running Windows 11, 32GB ram, 6800 GPU This system barely utilizes 50% of the cpu usage during fortnite gameplay, OBS recording, twitch streaming, and downloading a game on steam at the same time. Would recommend this combo has it has a high value for dollar amount and will be very useable for the future. Plus the price of DDR5 memory keeps me recommending the AM4 platform to everyone. 2 SSD slots, enough plugins for my (2 plugs) 6 AARGB PWM fans, 2 CPU fans, USB 3.0 / USB C front audio ports and more!

Only issue was the ethernet port initally did not work when installing Windows Pro. I had to connect a USB ethernet port and update the drivers before I got it to work. Afterwards all was great!

Only thing I wished I new was that you will have to get the correct lan drivers from intels website and there from like 2021 but after that was all smooth sailing windows 11 done 3200 mghz ram working right out box with docp ryzen loves fast ram so I’m loving it could use better on board sound but all motherboards seem to lack on onboard audio I bought an external sound card and all is immersive and fun now I recommend this bundle to anyone trying to utilize there old ddr4 ram and still beat out Intels 12900 k with this 5800x 3d monster with 100mb l3 cache that blast all games out the water

I want to say first, and foremost, Micro Center is not at fault in the least for this. They are a good, reputable company that did their job in delivering this, this......(insert profane derogatory remark) motherboard and CPU. By the way, I have ZERO issues with the Ryzen 7 5700X. It is a great CPU . Anyway, here goes. I bought this board as a builder repairing one of my own computers having NEVER had an issue with a motherboard from any of the major brands. That stopped the moment I received this horrible pile of metal and plastic. It displayed every known issues at the same time. Out of the box, the M.1 slot did not work, M.2 unknown because while installing the mount screw, with no force at all, it sheared off in the mount. The second PCI-E slot does not recognize my modem. The motherboard had issues even being stable while idling in BIOS until updated, but then displayed system instability under the Win10 environment. Also, three devices/chipsets on the board we listed as unknown in device manager and no drivers were included in package, or on the web that could resolve this issue. I had to resolve with it a 3rd party solution. The SATA lanes are running all drives slower then any of my other personal builds with those same devices attached. The list goes on, but I would like to add that even the "AI Suite 3" app was limited as it constantly reverts to whatever settings it wants when you hit apply for new settings. In general, every boot up of this steaming pile is a crap shoot to how it is going to run , or even populate devices. Strongly recommend with all of the research I have done that you stay as far away fro all of the ASUS B-series boards. Don't believe me? Well, Google is free. Go research all of the known issues for this board and the other ASUS B-series boards.
