Powerful! This 4.5GHz 8-core 16 thread CPU with B650 Aorus Gigabyte motherboard runs my Windows 11 computer effortlessly. I bought this combo to replace my older technology Windows 10 computer, and installed a 2TB M.2 NVME PCI Express solid state drive which boots the computer nice-&-fast. Transferred all my Win 10 apps and documents to this new Windows 11 computer and am happy to make the transition from Win 10 to Win 11 before Microsoft's Win 10 support went down. It was a fairly economical way to build my new computer instead of buying a new ready made computer - by building it myself with lots of RAM, a big fast SSD boot drive, and good cooling, I probably spent less than half of what a ready-made computer would cost, and I've got better performance and quality components.

Great setup. Loved the look of the words on the aluminum heating, arrived quickly and had a decent wifi signal even without the antenna. The white looks great in a black case. The UEFI settings are intuitive in AORUS system and the 7800x3d is a monster of a processor. With a 5070Ti and this chip and board I could run BF6 on overkill at 1440p with 90FPS 1% lows and over 100 avg. Playing competetively at these settings is awesome with an OLED screen. Solid setup, but I you should spend the extra 60$ and get a 9800x3d for the thermal efficiency and extra future proof headroom.

Bought this combo for my first ever PC build and have had no issues. Great value, easy to update bios, there's a heat sink for all 3 SSD slots. Only downside is I Wish there were a couple more USB ports and the wifi card is wonky so I bought an additional one. But that's probably more of a windows issue. If you play simulation heavy games (civilization, age of empires etc...) I'd probably go with a higher end CPU but works great paired with a 4070 super!

Paired this CPU board combo with an existing RX 6600 XT for a system upgrade from a 3900XT pre Christmas 2025. All my older titles play much smoother of course while my newer ones play like they are supposed to. I got this right as rampocalypse was starting and got one of the last decent addr 5 deals. The 7700X combo is a fantastic choice for budget builds if you can afford any RAM or have it already.

The CPU was great for the 3 days the MOBO worked. I did a BIOS update and the next day the pc won't start up. I know the BIOS update worked cause I was at the settings page and everything played BG3 for a bit and went to sleep and the next day it won't start the PC the AIO cooler is on but that's it nothing else
