I am getting rid of my old, beat up cooking gear and this is my replacement set. I'm just so pleased with how they look - the copper and black is so elegant looking! Of course pots and pans aren't about looks, right? These are well balanced (believe me, I've had handle-heavy pots that literally have to be held or the pot tips off the burner from the weight of the handle!) and heat evenly whether on a regular range top or, as I have cooked outside on hot days, they work very well on my double induction cooktop. The glass lids are wonderful to see how your food is progressing during the cooking time and of course, they clean up easily after use. Excellent replacement set for me, but would be a lovely housewarming gift for a new couple or that college student getting their first apartment. ... show more

    • Nice set for what was needed
I was looking for some pots and pans that were non-stick and lightweight for myself and my mother. Her non-stick frying pan has lost its non-stick ability, but as she is soon to turn 92, she doesn't really want to fork out for a new frying pan when she could die any day. My theory is why waste what is left of your life scrubbing pans? I was surprised that even with bad arthritis and having difficulty lifting things, I was able to carry the entire box into the house without a problem. I was happy to see the the pans were light weight which is good for both elderly and disabled folks to use. I think that these will give us some decent service and give my mom freedom from grunge work when doing dishes. I appreciate receiving these and my mom will be too with her pans as well. Awesome all-in-one-box set of cookware for any kitchen. Good inexpensive way to replace old cookware, especially the kind with nonstick but toxic chemicals in them. Got tired of nonstick coating eventually peeling from pans, or worrying about what toxic stuff they could be releasing into your food. These are safely coated. So you have peace of mind, on top of the convenience of a non-stick material. You could certainly cook certain things without oil or butter. But we live in the Deep South, out in the country. So we're using butter, regardless. But it does offer a healthier alternative for when we have guests that don't want a lot of butter or cooking oil used in their food. Basically everything works just like the copper cookware that you see advertised on TV, but for much more money. So these are a good investment. Plus, we've ordered plenty of Michelangelo kitchen products in the past. All of them were really high quality, so we expected the same from this set. We weren't disappointed, we'd recommend it to anyone. Would also make a nice wedding or housewarming gift for someone. ... show more

This is my third purchase of Michelangelo brand cookware, and I am never disappointed - it's very comparable to other mainstream top line brands, but more lightweight. So far, I've cooked a few different things just to test the versatility, and even with sticky 'Hawaiian Chicken' the sauce browned without crisping to the pan. It's very important you don't wash these with an abrasive scraper or use metal tools though, as the coating can get damaged (at least that's been my experience in the past). Even when stacking these for storage, I do prefer to put a cloth between them so they don't scratch eachother - it may be a bit over the top, but I like to protect the few nice things I have (and this is one of them). ... show more

    • A nice set of Ceramic coated pots and pans
I recently discovered cooking with ceramic coated pans and decided to pass along to my daughter and husband who like to cook. When I saw this set I thought it would be perfect for them as they have a mish-mash set of pots and pans now that are in pretty bad shape. They are lightweight, and seem remarkable durable for their weight. The ceramic coating is excellent which makes cleanup a breeze. And the handles are nice and ergonomic and are also lightweight. One extra nice feature is that you can use these on induction cooktops as well. I have a portable induction cooktop, so I look for pots and pans that are induction capable and these fit the bill. All I can say is that my daughter loves them. And she especially likes that cleanup is much easier. ... show more
