Great product, makes my 4a curls have hold. On day 4 and the hold is still there. Its a jellyish texture, you will need a good amount of water to activate the product. Doesn’t have much of a tropical smell but it works really well.

This smells so good and works so well! The texture is similar to an aloe vera jelly type thing, but it’s not greasy. It has a great slip instantly when used on WET hair. I’m not too sure how I feel about this product for my hair personally. However, it does give you curl definition and it does make your hair a little bit sticky and it does tend to flake a little, not much, but it definitely holds a curl definition. It also made my hair a little crunchy, but what I did was, I added some light oil to my hair which did help. This product is good, but I don’t recommend using it alone, it definitely needs some help to soften it up once dry on your hair. Will I buy it again? I’m not sure. My LIFELONG search for the perfect hair gel for my baby fine, "mature" 3B hair is OVER! I will be stocking up on this because I NEVER want to ever be without it again! It beautifully defines my curls, holds them FOREVER (well at least until the next wash) and washes out easily and cleanly. No residue! I saw that many women of color have GORGEOUS results, but my hair is SO fine, I was worried it might be too heavy. Not so! Apparently this works for curls of all hair textures.
