I’ve tried razors, both the regular ones and the detmaplaning razor you can buy at various stores online and brick and mortar stores and I always and I mean ALWAYS cut my face! To say I was apprehensive is an understatement but I went ahead and charged this immediately after it arrived, slid in a new blade (made sure it clicked into place) and waited. It says it takes, I believe, 8-10 hours for a full charge? Seems a bit excessive but I waited. When it was charged I decided to start on my forehead and it has the most tight skin. I was really surprised at how easily it glided over my skin. And yes, there was actually hair and dead skin that came off my forehead! I followed several YouTube videos I had watched on technique and I was absolutely shocked at how much fuzz and skin cells came off! My skin is baby smooth! This device is so easy to use but I highly recommend not only following the directions and get a full charge but watch some how-to videos because the angle you hold the blade makes all the difference! I chose the lavender colored dermaplaning device. It’s not super bulky and can easily be kept on your vanity. This is the second Michael Todd device I have. The first is a facial massager for your serums etc to absorb and to drain the lymph nodes. It’s also lavender so I store both on my vanity with no ugly bulkiness. The quality thus far, for me, has been great! I haven’t experienced any issues with the battery like I read others here. And it has made my skin look and feel incredible!

This product does work better than the cheaper versions and the basic no battery ones. It gives a smoother finish with no cuts. I use a face oil, before using it to help protect my skin. I really like how it sits on my vanity in its charger and is always ready for use. It looks good, feels good, and is easy to use. Well worth the money.

This is the first product I have ever given such a low review. I had read the reviews and watched the video …I thought this might be a much better product to use. I have light color facial hairs ( not sure if that made a difference or not) just very disappointed in this product. I did like the shape of the product. It was easy to use, but didn’t do the job in making one’s skin smooth. I didn’t send back for the reason I thought I may have been doing something wrong… but that wasn’t the case… and then it was too late to send back‼️

I don’t usually write reviews but felt one was warranted here. I was skeptical of buying this product, probably because I was in denial. I didn’t think I needed something this “drastic”. The truth was that my face had more hair than I thought and this was long overdue! The first use convinced me that it was a good purchase. These 2 pics are from the first use, but there was a lot more on the tissue I wiped the blade on when needed. My toner and night time lotion went on so smoothly and I could feel my skin just soaking it up:) I’ve been using it once a week for a month now and am completely happy with it.

Following the initial setup and adherence to the manufacturer's operational instructions, I utilized the product several times without encountering any issues; it performed exceptionally well. However, over time, I observed that the device necessitated frequent recharging after minimal use, and the output at the highest setting diminished compared to its initial performance. I emailed the company and received a prompt response. Leah from Michael Todd Beauty contacted me to discuss my concern. She offered me an upgraded version of the product, the Sonicsmooth Pro +, at no additional cost and arranged for it to be shipped to my residence.
