  • The item is as described and the quality built for this item fits the budget.
The base of the stand could be improved to for more stability.

  • Compact and light... maybe a little TOO light...
I was concerned about whether this stand would be tall enough to use while standing and playing guitar. It is for me, but could be questionable if you're much taller (I'm about 6', so that's probably good for a lot of people). Some light assembly is required. There are assembly instructions, but really it's just a series of pictures and I didn't think it added anything you couldn't figure out by looking at the parts. The only thing I wasn't sure about was what looked like a spare bit of hardware (middle of the top row in the attached picture). I don't know a lot about mic stands, so there's probably a name I could use here that would better explain what it is if I knew the right term - but in any case, what I've determined it to be is a threading adapter that you can screw onto the top of the stand instead of one of the included clips (presumably broadening the range of things you could mount on the stand). It's very light and compact and comes with its own carry case. I consider this mostly good; sometimes for solo shows I literally load up the gear I need into a radio flyer wagon and drag it to where I'm playing, so small and light is appreciated. There may be some level of tradeoff with the weight. It's apparently made of steel, which is not known for its strength-to-weight ratio, so the light weight doesn't inspire confidence that it could hold up to much abuse. The ideal solution is to not abuse it too much, but a lot of musicians may feel that disqualifies it as gig gear. Also, your mic will still weigh what it weighs, so in use it may make the stand a bit top-heavy. Of course if this is a concern you could always take additional steps to secure the stand on the stage, and as long as your method of doing so doesn't negate the size/weight advantage, it can still be a win. My biggest criticism thus far is that the carry case is not big enough. Ideally I'd want to be able to collapse the stand in its assembled state and drop it into the bag; but as shown in the picture, the bag is only just long enough to hold the individual segments of the stand when disassembled. (In fact, it's not long enough to hold the gooseneck section unless you bend it into a narrow "S".) So a few extra inches of fabric could've saved setup/teardown time for every use. (Yes, it'd be a BIT less compact, but if you really want to save those few inches you could still choose to disassemble the stand.) As I put the stand to more thorough use, I'll update with any additional insights (or if my opinion on any of the above changes). So far it looks to me like a solid choice if you particularly value the portability factor. ... show more

  • NOT FOR VERY HEAVY MICS, but still a good budget option
Heads up: this same exact package is being sold as/by multiple people, but this listing is cheapest at time of this review. This is a fairly sturdy mic stand, but if you use a real heavy microphone, you may see that it doesn't seem to have the heavy, stable base necessary to keep it from being tippy. Most mics should be okay, especially for my use case, which is not at all what it seems to be marketed as. I wanted a desk-adjacent stand with a gooseneck to hold a little condenser for online use. Most folks will opt for a desktop stand, or a boom arm, but if you're like me and you have more floor space than desk space, this is a pretty good way to go. And actually more affordable! Fairly versatile with the multiple mounts and threadings included. The storage case is not that nice, so if you're taking this on the road, might want to upgrade there. ... show more

  • Lightweight mic stand
The mic stand is good, but it's lightweight and so doesn't hold heavy mics very well. Set up and break down is really easy, and it's performing adequately for general recording.

  • Good strudy stand, needs better case
The stand is versatile and sturdy. It may be used for a vocal mic, acoustic guitar mic, amp mic, or just about any other use you can dream up. The goose neck has a good range of motion and stays in place when positioned. The only disappointment is the carrying case that comes with it. It won't last long and is a little short. I actually have to bend the goose neck to fit it. If the carrying case was just a couple of inches longer it would be a lot easier. A should strap would also be nice. There is a strap/handle but you'd have to pretty small to use that as a shoulder strap. Finally, it somes with some helpful accesories for different size mics and cable clips but the cae has no pocket for them. I'll be putting them in a zip lock bag in the carrying case for now but I'll eventually have to get a different carrying case for this. Great stand though! ... show more

  • Not For Heavy Mics
This is an almost identical stand to the one at https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08R35RJPR/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and does the job. It just isn't for heavy microphones and tips over pretty easily. My road podcaster mic, two or three pounds, pulls this thing down so I have to be careful with it. But for lighter mics, this is a pretty good stand. ... show more

  • Works Well…
This stand is pretty sturdy and works well for it’s intended use. It is very lightweight, and it is portable. It’s easy to set up and to take down. I’m satisfied with it.

  • Surprisingly Sturdy
I recently took this mic stand out with me on a busking expedition. I was really impressed with the sturdiness of it. At first it didn't feel like it was going to be a very sturdy mic stand but once I got it set up and stationed the way I wanted it, I found that it was sturdier than my previous one, which cost nearly twice as much. I think it's because the base, the tripod base, is wider than my last one was. I don't know, but whatever the case, it stayed put. The wind didn't bother it as I was performing outside and it was even a little rainy. I was performing under an eve to stay dry but the wind was still there, but that didn't knock it over or anything. It was also a very high traffic area. There was a lot of people walking back-and-forth and people must've bumped or grazed it but that did not make it go down either. I really like the gooseneck. At first, I was thinking, “there's no way that this is going to perform as well as a boom” but you know? It does just as good of a job as a boom. I really can't complain about this item at all. It does what it's supposed to do and it does it very well. I would say that this is an excellent mic stand for the price. You get a great value for the price you pay. In fact, I think you almost get a better value for the price you pay than you do some of the more expensive ones, because the one that I just had to replace with this one was a more expensive one and it only lasted me about three months before it started falling apart . ... show more
