The bed itself is nice, but the customer service is the main reason I’m giving it 5 stars. When we received the bed and I started putting it together, I found that one piece was not threaded correctly, so I could not complete the assembly. I contacted customer service, and they sent the replacement part within a few days. I was really impressed with how quickly they handled the issue. I recommend using a 6-inch mattress for the top bunk and nothing thicker. The guardrails are fairly low, so a taller mattress could make it easier for an active sleeper to roll out, especially with kids like my son.
